ZeroTol 2.0 - Broad Spectrum Algaecide / Bactericide / Fungicide

ZeroTol 2.0 works on contact to kill plant pathogens and their propagules, including spores. Formulated with our powerful and stable peroxyacetic acid chemistry, use ZeroTol 2.0 starting at propagation through production to protect crops, including fruits and vegetables.

ZeroTol 2.0 is effective against the following pathogens

  • Algae
  • Alternaria
  • Anthracnose
  • Aphanomyces
  • Bacterial spots and rots
  • Botrytis (grey mold)
  • Downy Mildew
  • Erwinia, Fusarium (root rot)
  • Leaf Spot
  • Phytophthora (blights, rots)
  • Plasmopara
  • Powdery Mildew
  • Pseudomonas
  • Pythium
  • Rhizoctonia
  • Rust
  • Scab
  • Smut
  • Thielaviopsis
  • Uncinula (powdery mildew)
  • Xanthomonas
  • Wilts & Blights
  • Ralstonia solanacearum (brown rot, bacterial wilt)
  • Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (white mold)
  • Tobacco mosaic

ZeroTol 2.0 is the fire extinguisher for bacterial, fungal, or algal fires, it immediately knocks out harmful organisms that could damage turf, crops, and ornamentals. ZeroTol 2.0’s fast-acting oxidation process has broad-spectrum applications. Incorporating ZeroTol 2.0 into an integrated pest program, and using it before pathogen emergence, creates a more prepared growing operation.

How Growers Use ZeroTol 2.0

ZeroTol 2.0's peroxyacetic acid (PAA) chemistry maintains oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) longer than hydrogen peroxide alone - extending the treatment window and improving efficacy across the full application period. Use it as the contact-kill component in a two-stage program: ZeroTol 2.0 to eliminate surface pathogens and spores on contact, followed by OxiPhos as a tank mix or rotation partner to build systemic plant defense through phosphite-triggered ISR (induced systemic resistance).

ZeroTol 2.0 is labeled for direct plant contact and hard surface disinfection - making it one of the few products that covers both pathogen knock-down on the plant AND equipment/facility sanitation in the same container. Apply via foliar spray, fogger, or foam applicator.

What diseases does ZeroTol 2.0 control?

ZeroTol 2.0 is labeled for Alternaria, Botrytis, Downy Mildew, Powdery Mildew, Fusarium, Phytophthora, Pseudomonas, Pythium, Rust, Scab, Tobacco Mosaic Virus, and Xanthomonas. It works by oxidizing pathogen cell membranes on contact, killing both active organisms and dormant spores. Unlike hypochlorite-based treatments, PAA is effective against dormant fungal spores - making it reliable for reducing background inoculum even between visible disease events.

Why is ZeroTol 2.0 better than hydrogen peroxide alone?

ZeroTol 2.0 uses peroxyacetic acid (PAA) chemistry, not plain hydrogen peroxide. PAA is formed by combining H2O2, acetic acid, and water. The acetic acid component extends the ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) window significantly - where plain H2O2 degrades quickly, PAA maintains effective ORP levels at the 2-, 3-, and 4-hour mark. This gives growers a longer, more reliable application window, especially in environments with impure water or temperature variation.

What should ZeroTol 2.0 NOT be tank mixed with?

Do not mix ZeroTol 2.0 with: (1) metal-based chemistries - causes premature oxidation and product breakdown; (2) microbials or beneficial bacteria inoculants - PAA will kill them on contact; (3) orthosilicic acid products such as potassium silicate supplements - PAA and orthosilicic acid can react in solution and may cause clogging in irrigation systems. Always apply ZeroTol and biological inoculants separately.

Can ZeroTol 2.0 be used with RO water?

Not without adjustment. RO water has no buffering capacity and will drop to approximately pH 5.5 after sitting at ambient conditions for 24 hours. Adding ZeroTol (a weak acid) into unbuffered RO will cause the pH to crash further. Always ensure at least 0.3 EC in the water column before adding ZeroTol. Target final spray or drench solution pH of 5.5 to 5.8. Above 7.0, ZeroTol loses efficacy. Below 5.0 creates phytotoxicity risk.

What is ZeroTol 2.0's REI and pre-harvest interval?

ZeroTol 2.0 has a 1-hour REI (re-entry after sprays have dried) and a 0-day pre-harvest interval. Because it leaves zero residue once dry, it can be applied at any stage of production with no harvest timing restrictions. It is OMRI certified for certified organic production.

Can ZeroTol 2.0 be used for water and irrigation system treatment?

Yes. ZeroTol 2.0 can be injected directly into a water column to treat recirculating systems, header tanks, reservoirs, and drip lines. It reduces biofilm, algae, and waterborne pathogen inoculum. For dedicated irrigation line sanitation, see SaniDate 12.0 which is specifically formulated and concentrated for that application.
