TerraGrow - Beneficial Soil Inoculant & Plant Health Promoter

BioSafe Systems is revolutionizing biological crop protection. Our microbial inoculant Terragrow is an easy-to-use wettable powder blended to increase plant growth, vigor, and yield.

A beneficial soil inoculant designed to improve soil characteristics and plant stress tolerance. TerraGrow is a specialty blend of beneficial microbial organisms including different strains of bacteria and fungi and microbial nutrients designed to improve soil and plant vigor by restoring root zone biological activity. Use with row crops, vegetable crops, ornamentals, herbs, turf, and bedding plants. Quickly re-establishes beneficial bacteria/fungal populations in and around the root zone.

How Growers Use TerraGrow

TerraGrow's 5-strain bacillus formula is paired with 38% humic acid and a kelp-based carbon food source - the microbes are pre-fed and ready to colonize immediately after application, rather than needing to compete for nutrition in a depleted root zone. The molasses component in the carrier is an important note for growers using drip or recirculating systems: TerraGrow should not be applied through drip lines or irrigation emitters because molasses can cause clogging and line fouling. Apply as a transplant slurry (5 oz per 10 gallons), soil drench, or top dress.

After sanitizing a root zone with TerraClean 5.0 or running a line shock with SaniDate 12.0, TerraGrow is the beneficial inoculation step that establishes the microbial population you want before the environment recolonizes on its own. The sanitize-then-inoculate sequence is the agronomic protocol - TerraGrow is the second half of it.

Frequently Used Together

Note: Do not apply through drip lines or micro-emitters - contains molasses that can cause clogging. Apply as drench, transplant dip, or top dress only.

What does TerraGrow contain and how does it work?

TerraGrow is a wettable powder containing 5 strains of beneficial Bacillus bacteria, 38% humic acid, and kelp. The Bacillus strains colonize the rhizosphere and convert locked-up nutrients into plant-available forms. Humic acid enhances cation exchange capacity and improves phosphorus solubility. Kelp delivers natural plant hormones - auxins, cytokinins, and gibberellic acid - that stimulate root development and shoot growth. Together these three components support root zone establishment from transplant through production.

Can TerraGrow be applied through drip lines or irrigation emitters?

No. TerraGrow contains molasses as a carrier, which can cause clogging in drip lines, emitters, and micro-irrigation systems. Apply as a transplant slurry (5 oz per 10 gallons), soil drench, or top dress only. For programs requiring fertigation or drip system delivery of beneficial biology, use a molasses-free biological product instead.

What is the recommended application rate for TerraGrow?

For transplant establishment: mix at 5 oz per 10 gallons as a dunk, slurry, or drench at transplant. For ongoing production: apply 0.5 to 1 gram per gallon periodically through approximately week 5 of the production cycle to sustain microbial activity as new root tissue develops. Higher rates at transplant accelerate initial rhizosphere colonization.

How does TerraGrow interact with BioSafe's PAA products like ZeroTol 2.0?

Do not apply TerraGrow and PAA-based products (ZeroTol 2.0, SaniDate 12.0, TerraClean 5.0) at the same time. PAA will kill beneficial microorganisms on contact. The correct protocol is to sanitize the root zone or irrigation lines first using PAA chemistry, then re-inoculate with TerraGrow into the clean environment. A sanitized system allows biologicals to establish faster and more effectively without competing against existing negative biology.
