Dial thermometer on the wall, Humidistat by the fans; these previous efforts and methods didn't give consistent results. I wasn't seeing everything in my environment, over time. Frustrating and wasteful.
So, I bit the bullet and bought my first Climate Sensor and Logger after searching for devices with reliability designed-in, and most importantly, Support after Sales. I have never been so please with a purchase decision! I also bought an AgrowTek GrowControl-Pro, more on this elsewhere . .
With temperature recording to 0.1 degree, RH%, Light-Watts/m sq., CO2 ppm and calculated kPa; I could see everything affecting my meds. Real-time and historical data archive, answered all of my: 'why does it look like this, today?' Device calibration is easy and, seldom needed. kPa, what a useful piece of information to know.
Bottom line: this is a workhorse, for any environment. My oldest SXC is over 5 years old. My newest are 3 years old. None have ever failed, for any reason. Yes, you have to clean and replace its filter. And if you have a question; you can call AgrowTek. They're in Wisconsin.
I hope this information is helpful.
