Dosatron Complete Fertigation Dosing Systems
Dosatron complete dosing systems bundle a water-powered nutrient injector with a manifold, strainer, and all fittings needed for a ready-to-run fertigation installation. The complete system format removes the guesswork of component compatibility - the injector, strainer, and manifold are matched to the same flow rate and pressure range, so the entire assembly installs in line with your existing water supply and runs immediately. No electricity required; water pressure alone powers the injection mechanism.
How a Complete Dosatron System Works
Water flowing through the Dosatron injector creates hydraulic pressure that draws concentrated nutrient solution from a separate stock tank and injects it at a precisely calibrated ratio into the output stream. The ratio is set by adjusting the injector dial - the output concentration remains consistent regardless of water pressure fluctuation or flow rate variation, which is the key advantage of Dosatron technology over gravity-fed or timer-based mixing. The included strainer protects the injector from sediment and particulate that can affect dosing accuracy. Browse individual Dosatron injectors if you already have a manifold or need replacement injectors only.
System Sizing
Dosatron complete systems are sized by flow rate capacity - from systems handling 40 GPH for small indoor operations through multi-injector commercial manifold systems for high-flow greenhouse distribution lines. Match system capacity to your total irrigation zone flow demand. For large commercial facilities with multiple zones, a multi-injector manifold system allows different nutrient formulas to be delivered to different zones from the same header line. Dosatron Complete Systems FAQ
What is included in a Dosatron complete dosing system?
Complete Dosatron systems include the Dosatron injector unit (sized for your flow rate), an inline strainer to protect the injector from particulate, a manifold for multi-injector configurations where applicable, and the fittings needed to connect to standard irrigation line. The complete kit removes the need to source compatible components separately. Check the specific product listing for exact components, as configurations vary by system size and intended application.
Do Dosatron systems require electricity?
No. Dosatron injectors are powered entirely by water pressure - no electricity, batteries, or external power source required. The water flow through the injector body drives a hydraulic piston that draws nutrient solution from the stock tank and mixes it at the calibrated ratio. This makes Dosatron systems highly reliable in greenhouse and outdoor environments where electrical connections are not practical, and eliminates the failure mode of pump-dependent injection systems during power interruptions.
How do I choose between a complete system and a standalone Dosatron injector?
If you are setting up fertigation from scratch or replacing an entire injection station, a complete system is the most practical choice - all components are compatibility-matched and the installation is straightforward. If you already have a manifold and strainer in place and need only the injector unit, a standalone Dosatron injector is the right choice.
