This complete replacement kit includes everything you need to refresh the HydroLogic Evolution Reverse Osmosis System in one order: two 17″ RO Membranes (stored and ship dry) and one 17″ Green Coconut Carbon Block Filter.
This kit is an equivalent alternative to HydroLogic Part Numbers HL 22045 (x2) and HL 22080, and Hawthorne Part Numbers HGC728774 (x2) and HGC728845.

17″ RO MEMBRANES
The HydroLogic Evolution-RO System requires 2 RO Membranes, and this kit includes both so you can replace them together for consistent output.

PERMEATE FLOW RATE VARIATIONS: Permeate flow rate will vary depending on the temperature of your feed water and the net driving pressure on the membrane element. If your system is running at baseline operating conditions, permeate rate should be at 100% (matching the manufacturer’s listed performance specs). As feed water temperature and/or net driving pressure increases or decreases, permeate flow rate will proportionally increase or decrease.

17″ GREEN COCONUT CARBON BLOCK FILTER
In water filtration, coconut carbon is preferred over other forms of carbon due to its greater surface area and higher porosity, giving it superior absorption capabilities. The Green Coconut Carbon Block Filter removes 99% of impurities and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) including chlorine, rust, sediment, and silt, protecting your RO membranes for longer life.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Because this kit replaces the carbon filter and membranes at the same time, install the new carbon filter first with the membranes removed, and flush your system for a minimum of 10 minutes BEFORE installing the membranes. Next, apply a thin layer of silicone lubricant to the 2 small o-rings on each membrane stem. Keeping the membrane straight, carefully push the stem into the manifold until both o-rings are fully seated in the hole. Do not rock the membrane back and forth during installation.
REPLACEMENT SCHEDULE: We recommend replacing the carbon filter every 2,000 gallons and the RO membranes every 6 months – 2 years, or upon observing a decrease in flow rate and/or an increase in PPM. The life of your RO membranes depends on proper pre-filtration maintenance, feed water quality, and clean water output, so keeping up with carbon filter changes helps your membranes last longer.
