Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long is TrueFlo good for?
A: TrueFlo is good in the bottle for at least 1-2 years. Once diluted, expect a much shorter shelf life (a few days to a week). This is all dependent on conditions. Minimizing exposure to extreme temperatures, as well as minimizing any exposure to UV light are key here.
Q: What should the pH be of the solution I am adding TrueFlo to?
A: HOCl is most effective within a pH range of 4 to 6, where it remains in its molecular form, allowing for higher disinfection efficacy. At higher pH levels, hypochlorous acid dissociates into hypochlorite ions (OCl⁻), which have reduced efficacy.
Q: Can I use TrueFlo as a hard surface cleaner?
A: Yes, at the higher application rates.
Q: Can TrueFlo cause damage to my plants?
A: HOCl is safe when applied at the right dosage to regular your fertigation system. Anything under 2 ppm is where your plants will be fine… but anything over and you will cause harm to your plants.
Q: What is TrueFlo compatible with?
- Day Tanks: Add TrueFlo directly to day tank. Best practice to use within 24 hr.
- Injecting Stock Solutions: Do NOT add to stock tanks. Will require dedicated doser.
