Enhance Flower Size While Encouraging Multiple Bud Sets In The Early Stages Of Flowering

Open Sesame® is a high-phosphorus soluble fertilizer that’s designed for use during the early weeks of flowering to support vigorous blooming and bud development.

Whether you’re growing in hydroponic systems, containers, or gardening in the soil, Open Sesame® will go right to work at the root zone and deliver targeted nutrients when the plants need them the most.

Open Sesame can be used as a supplement or as part of a stand alone nutrient routine in soil and hydroponic systems.

Garden Tip: Feed with Open Sesame® every other watering, starting at about the fifth or sixth week of a plant’s life.

For best results refer to the FoxFarm Feeding Schedule.

How To Use:

STAND ALONE USE:

  • In Hydroponic Systems use 1 tsp (6 g) per gallon (4 L) of water in reservoir. Flush every two weeks.
  • In Soil use 1/2 to 1 tsp (3 – 6 g) per gallon (4 L) of water. Feed once per week.

COMBINED WITH OTHER NUTRIENTS:

  • In Hydroponic Systems use 1/4 to 1/2 tsp (1.5 – 3 g) per gallon (4 L) of water in reservoir.
  • In Soil use 1/4 to 1/2 tsp (1.5 – 3 g) per gallon (4 L) of water. Feed once per week.

Always fill your reservoir with fresh water. Add Open Sesame® to the final volume of water and mix thoroughly. Do not mix solubles together in dry form. Do not use as a foliar spray. Always adjust fertilizer dosage to plant response.

What does FoxFarm Open Sesame do for flowering plants?

FoxFarm Open Sesame is a high-phosphorus soluble fertilizer designed to enhance flower size and encourage multiple bud sets during the early stages of flowering. The formula delivers targeted nutrients directly at the root zone to support vigorous blooming and bud development when plants need it most.

What is the N-P-K ratio of FoxFarm Open Sesame?

FoxFarm Open Sesame carries an N-P-K ratio of 5-45-19, reflecting the high-phosphorus formula built to drive flower and bud development during early bloom.

When should growers start using FoxFarm Open Sesame, and how often should the fertilizer be applied?

FoxFarm recommends beginning Open Sesame applications around the fifth or sixth week of a plant's life, feeding every other watering. For soil use as a stand-alone nutrient, apply once per week at 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per gallon of water.

Can FoxFarm Open Sesame be used in hydroponic systems, and what are the mixing rates?

Yes, FoxFarm Open Sesame is formulated for use in hydroponic systems as well as soil and containers. For stand-alone hydroponic use, mix 1 teaspoon (6 g) per gallon of water in the reservoir and flush the system every two weeks. When combining Open Sesame with other nutrients in a hydroponic reservoir, reduce the dose to 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon (1.5 to 3 g) per gallon.

Can FoxFarm Open Sesame be used alongside other nutrient lines, or does the fertilizer work only as a stand-alone product?

FoxFarm Open Sesame works both as a stand-alone nutrient routine and as a supplement combined with other nutrients, in soil and hydroponic systems alike. When used alongside other nutrients, lower the dose to 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water, and always add Open Sesame to the final volume of fresh water rather than mixing dry solubles together. FoxFarm also recommends following the FoxFarm Feeding Schedule for best results.

Is FoxFarm Open Sesame an organic fertilizer, and does the powder carry OMRI certification?

FoxFarm Open Sesame is classified as an organic-based fertilizer, but the product is not OMRI certified. Growers seeking a certified-organic input should verify compliance requirements before use.
