A True One-Part Fertilizer Delivers A Full Spectrum Of Micro Nutrients & Allows For pH Adjustment Without Nutrient Lock-Up

Based on our popular Grow Big® Liquid Plant Food, Grow Big® Hydroponic Liquid Plant Food is a liquid concentrate fertilizer specifically designed for hydroponic use.

Grow Big® Hydroponic contains earthworm castings, Norwegian kelp and essential micronutrients to support vigorous vegetative growth. Our special brew is designed to enhance plant size and structure, allowing for more abundant fruit, flower and bud development.

Hydro tip: When plants show their first sign of flowering, usually around week 5, switch to Tiger Bloom® and Big Bloom®. For best results, refer to the FoxFarm Feeding Schedule.

How To Use:

Use a conductivity or ppm meter to monitor water quality and control nutrient strength. Maintain nutrient solution pH levels between 5.8 and 6.3. Check pH regularly as water quality can vary. Measure accurately, always adjust fertilization rates to plant response.

GENERAL FEEDING:

  • 2 teaspoons (10 mL) per gallon (4 L) of water with every reservoir change.

HEAVY FEEDING:

  • 3 teaspoons (15 mL) per gallon (4 L) of water with every reservoir change.

SUPPLEMENTAL FOLIAR FEEDING:

  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL) per gallon (4 L) of water every other week. Do not apply while plants are in direct light.

What does FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro do for plants during the vegetative stage?

FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro is formulated to support vigorous vegetative growth by enhancing plant size and structure, which allows for more abundant fruit, flower, and bud development later in the cycle. The formula includes earthworm castings, Norwegian kelp, and essential micronutrients to deliver a full spectrum of nutrition in a single-part concentrate.

What is the N-P-K ratio of FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro, and what does that ratio support?

FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro carries an N-P-K ratio of 3-2-6, a profile weighted toward potassium to fuel strong structural growth during the vegetative phase. This balance, combined with the included micronutrients, helps prepare plants to support heavier fruit and flower production once they transition to bloom.

How much FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro should be mixed per gallon of water in a hydroponic reservoir?

For general feeding, mix 2 teaspoons (10 mL) of FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro per gallon (4 L) of water with every reservoir change. For heavy feeding, increase the dose to 3 teaspoons (15 mL) per gallon. FoxFarm also recommends using a conductivity or ppm meter to monitor nutrient strength and maintaining solution pH between 5.8 and 6.3.

Can FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro be used as a foliar spray, and if so, how?

Yes, FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro can be applied as a supplemental foliar feed by mixing 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 mL) per gallon (4 L) of water every other week. FoxFarm advises not to apply the foliar spray while plants are under direct light to avoid leaf damage.

When should growers switch away from FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro and move to a bloom nutrient?

FoxFarm recommends switching from Grow Big Hydro to Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom when plants show their first signs of flowering, typically around week 5. For the most complete transition schedule, FoxFarm suggests following the official FoxFarm Feeding Schedule.

Is FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro an organic nutrient, and is the formula OMRI certified?

FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro is classified as an organic-based liquid nutrient, meaning the formula incorporates natural inputs such as earthworm castings and Norwegian kelp. However, FoxFarm Grow Big Hydro is not OMRI certified.
