What is the RxGreen 2 gallon Ready-to-Use Grow Bag (100% pure coco)?
The RTU line is RxGreen's ready-to-use coco grow bag — 100% pure coco — designed to skip the hydration step entirely. Tear the top off, roll the sides down, and plant directly into it; there's no need to hydrate or charge a compressed block before use.
What labor or cost savings come from using an RTU bag vs. compressed coco?
Skipping the hydration step saves labor time on every single bag, and it avoids running a charged nutrient solution through the system just to saturate a compressed block before planting — which adds up in both labor and material cost across a full room.
What yield results has RxGreen seen with the RTU line?
In an internal trial running the same genetics side by side, the RTU bags delivered roughly 30% higher yield compared to rockwool, while using about 60% less water.
What are the black-lined bags, and why did RxGreen introduce them?
RxGreen introduced black-lined bags in response to customer feedback about light penetration through the bag material. Testing confirmed no measurable PPFD passes through the new liner, and the bag itself is now a heavier-grade material.
How does drainage and airflow work in the RTU bag?
The bag has micro-perforations throughout that let it breathe similar to a mesh fabric, helping the root zone dry back evenly. There are also 32 semi-punched drainage holes along the bottom.
How many bags come on a pallet?
350 bags per pallet for the 2 gallon size.
Why does the RTU line have a shorter shelf life than the 2 cubic foot bags?
The micro-perforations that let the RTU bags breathe also let them dry out faster than a sealed 2 cubic foot bag. RxGreen keeps RTU inventory fully wrapped and produces fresh six days a week, generally not holding stock on the shelf for more than about a month.
