Versatile Fruiting & Unique Aesthetics

Reishi is an excellent choice for beginners because it can be grown entirely within the filter patch bag, requiring no specialized fruiting chamber. Depending on the environment, you can manipulate its growth into two distinct forms:

• Antler Formation: Achieved with high CO2 (>20,000 ppm). Produces numerous deep red "antlers" with vibrant orange, yellow, and white tips.
• Conk Formation: Achieved with increased fresh air exchange (<2,000 ppm). Produces the classic, large "shelf" or bracket shape with rich, lacquered bands of color.

• Temperature: 65-75°F (Antler) | 70-80°F (Conk)
• Humidity: 90-95%
• Fresh Air (FAE): Very Low for Antlers / High for Conks

Usage & Inoculation

This wood-loving species can be injected directly into wood-based substrate bags (10mL for 3lb+ bags) or into grain jars (3-5mL) for further expansion. For the highest success rate, always work within a still-air box or under a laminar flow hood and disinfect all surfaces with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
