Grey Oyster (Pleurotus pulmonarius) Liquid Culture Syringe
A versatile staple for the gourmet grower. The Grey Oyster mushroom is widely considered one of the easiest and most rewarding species to cultivate. Known for its aggressive colonization and high yield potential, this strain is the perfect starting point for beginners while remaining a must-have staple for professional cultivators. Prepared in-house by Redwood Mushroom Supply (RMS), this liquid culture is optimized for vigor and year-round performance.
High Yields & Culinary Versatility
Our Grey Oyster strain produces beautiful clusters of fan-shaped, off-white to grey fruit bodies. It is prized for its delicate texture and mild savory flavor, making it a seamless addition to almost any culinary dish. In our RMS grow trials, this resilient strain consistently produced 1-2 lbs of fresh mushrooms per 5 lb block and demonstrated an impressive ability to produce multiple flushes across a wide range of temperatures.

-
Early-Generation Genetics: Cultures are expanded from early-generation slants to ensure explosive colonization speeds.
-
Lab-Grade Standards: All media is sterilized with medical-grade equipment and high-quality inputs.
-
Quality Control: Each batch is hand-packaged in a clean-air environment, batch-tracked, and quality-assured for peak performance.
Usage & Inoculation
This aggressive wood-loving species can be injected directly into wood-based substrate bags (10mL for 3lb+ bags) or grain jars (3-5mL) for further expansion. For the highest success rate, always work within a still-air box or under a laminar flow hood and thoroughly disinfect all surfaces and tools with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Flame-sterilize the needle between multiple inoculations.
