Product properties
Potential basicity | 215 lbs. calcium carbonate equivalent per ton |
---|---|
Conductivity (100 ppm N) | 2.23 mmhos/cm. |
Maximum solubility | 3 lbs./gal. |
Product properties
1. Dissolve 130 ounces (or 8 pounds, 2 ounces) of product in 1000 gallons of water to obtain the following concentrations:
- Nitrogen (all Nitrate N) 50 PPM
- Phosphorus (P) 48 PPM
- Potassium (K) 216 PPM
- Magnesium (Mg) 60 PPM
- Sulfur (S) 80 PPM
- Iron (Fe) 3 PPM
- Manganese (Mn) 0.50 PPM
- Zinc (Zn) 0.15 PPM
- Copper (Cu) 0.15 PPM
- Boron (B) 0.50 PPM
- Molybdenum (Mo) 0.10 PPM
2. Test your water to determine if additional magnesium is required (an average of 50 to 75 ppm magnesium is desirable for most crops). If additional magnesium is required, dissolve epsom salts into tank (one ounce of epsom salts dissolved in 100 gallons supplies 7.5 ppm magnesium).
3. After the Hydroponic Special and any epsom salts are fully dissolved, proceed to supplement your crop with required concentrations of N and Ca.
Example: Dissolve 86 ounces of Calcium Nitrate a 1000 gallon solution. The total nutrient concentration will be: Nitrogen as N: 150 ppm N, Calcium as Ca: 116 ppm Ca
How To Use
- 1. Consult rate tables printed on bag labels.
- 2. Verify product analysis, longevity and rate for plants in your production system (for assistance, contact your regional ICL Territory Manager or call the ICL Lab at 877-467-8522).
- 3. Irrigation frequency and volume should be adjusted during the crop production cycle according to crop type, environmental conditions and desired soluble salt levels.
- 4. A product trial is recommended before adopting a new fertilizer program or making full-scale changes to standard cultural practices (test several rates on representative plant types).
- 5. Store in a clean, cool, dry place.
