What is the Iluminar VerdiDim and how does it differ from the old 18W clone bar?
The VerdiDim is Iluminar's newer clone/propagation light, replacing their previous 18W clone LED bar. The key difference is that the VerdiDim runs on 0-10V dimming, letting growers adjust intensity for hardening off cuttings rather than simply switching a fixed-output light on or off.
Why does dimming matter for clones and cuttings?
Before a cutting has developed a taproot, it benefits from softer light. Dimming lets growers bring intensity up gradually as cuttings establish, rather than running full intensity from day one or turning off one of two fixtures over a coverage area and creating uneven light distribution.
What coverage does one VerdiDim unit provide?
