There is no change to the unit itself, only to the temperature and humidity at which the reading is being taken from. Previously they were rated at a higher temperature and humidity level based on hydroponic industry standard usage (86°F, 80% Relative Humidity). They will now be rated at AHAM standards based on the recent US Department of Energy ruling.

- Can I connect the unit to a permanent drain?
Yes, see the instruction manual that came with your unit. - Can I mount the unit on the wall?
Yes, it is possible. Be sure that the unit is level to ensure proper drainage. - How does a dehumidifier work?
Moist air is drawn into the dehumidifier and then crosses a refrigerant cooled coil, the moisture in the air condenses on the coils within the machine. The moisture drips off the coil and into the drain bucket. The air that was drawn into the dehumidifier enters back into the room dryer and warmer then when it entered. This process continues until the humidity level you select has been reached or the drain bucket fills up shutting off the machine. Have you ever noticed when you have a cold drink on a hot day, water collecting on the outside of the glass? This is another example of how a dehumidifier works. - Do these units have auto restart?
Yes, in the event of a power interruption the unit will automatically restart and retain the previous settings. - I see frost on the coil, is this normal?
Yes, when the ambient air temperature is below 59°F frost can develop on the coil. These units have an automatic defrost system that will melt the frost. The condensation than drains into the reservoir and the process repeats itself. - What humidity settings are available?
The settings are in 10% increments. 40/50/60/70/80. When the 40% setting is used the unit will run continuously. - What voltage are these units?
Both the 60 pint and 100 pint run on 120 volts.
