The Light Support System (LSS) turns the Plant Support System into a full-length light-hanging frame. Two rigid stringers run the entire bench, mounted on the same uprights your trellis netting uses — no overhead structure, no ceiling attachments, and any fixture you choose.
How It Works
1. Pin the light crossbar
One additional Plant Support crossbar drops onto every upright pair at the top hole set, locked with clevis and cotter pins - the same hardware as the rest of the system.
2. Clamp the stringers
Two full-length stringers are set on top of the crossbars and locked down with square-to-square clamps - four clamps per crossbar, eight bolts and nuts.
3. Splice, cap, hang
Stringer sections join with internal inserts and two self-tapping screws per splice; cap plugs finish the four open ends. Hang your fixtures from the stringers with the hangers your lights came with.
*REQUIRES THE PLANT SUPPORT SYSTEM. The LSS mounts to the Plant Support System uprights. Order it with a new bench and Plant Support System, or add it to a bench that already has one. Grow lights, hangers and hooks are supplied by the grower.
No overhead structure
Skip the unistrut, cable and ceiling anchors. The light frame stands on the bench, so a greenhouse or warehouse with nothing to hang from is not a problem.
Lights travel with the bench
On rolling and track benches the fixtures move with the canopy, so the light stays over the plants - never over the aisle - every time you roll.
Fixture-agnostic
The stringers are plain 1" galvanized square tube - hang any brand of LED, HPS or hybrid fixture up to 35 lbs per 4' x 4' unit, using the hangers, hooks or straps you already use.
