Coco is a complete professional nutrient for plants containing all the essential elements for optimal growing and flowering.

Thanks to the Coco medium’s unique buffering qualities CANNA Coco A&B is used for both the growth and flowering phases.

Due to the special characteristics of coco substrate CANNA COCO nutrients don't have a Vega and Flores version, there is one unique formulation for both the growth and blooming phase. We can’t make things easier! CANNA COCO is easy to use, dissolves directly, and is extremely suitable for “drain-to-waste” cultivation in a buffered coco medium.

Advantages of Canna Coco

Coco growers that really want the best of the best choose CANNA COCO. It is a sophisticated combination of high-value coco substrates and fertilizer that guarantees the best results.

Rich in high-value elements

After years of research into potting mixes, drainage, and leaf analysis, CANNA has succeeded in being the first to develop a fertilizer that is specifically tailored to the characteristics of coco substrates. CANNA COCO nutrient is composed of high-value minerals. Growers throughout the world have been enthusiastic for years about the explosive growth and profuse flowering with CANNA COCO.

Canna Coco encourages root development

CANNA COCO substrate is airier than for example potting mix. This means there is more room for rooting and plants get much more oxygen. This stimulates growth and bloom and produces bigger yields.

Eco-friendly

CANNA COCO substrate is environmentally friendly. No energy-wasting production methods are used during the production of this long-lasting, cultivation substrate. Coconut fibers are obtained from coconut husks which are natural products that can be harvested throughout the year.

Effortless cultivation

It's easy to grow on CANNA COCO. All the nutritional elements for the growing and flowering phase are present in the CANNA COCO A & B nutrients. Due to the unique buffering capability of the CANNA COCO substrate (it binds nutrients and releases them), and its sponge-like structure, the nutrients needed to ensure high yields are stored in the coco. This means that the plant itself can regulate the amount and timing of its nutrient intake.

Why A&B Nutrients?

CANNA COCO nutrient consists of two parts, an A part and a B part. We separate these parts for a reason. The amounts of Calcium and Phosphate that have to be present for the nutrient to do its job properly are quite high. When you put such highly concentrated elements in one bottle they will conflict with each other sometimes resulting in a slimy residue. When you separate these two elements from each other, then mix both of them with the water in your nutrient reservoir later on,there is no problem. That's why you should first add the A component and then the B component!

Instructions for Aqua Vega

  • A ready to use fertilizer solution is made by diluting A & B concentrates in equal amounts with tap water
  • Shake Coco A and Coco B well before use
  • Fill the nutrition tank with water
  • Dosage: 0.5 fl oz/gal (40 ml/10L)
  • Stir well and let mixture stand for some hours
  • Recommended pH: 5.5 - 6.2
  • Recommended EC for Coco A + B is 0.8 - 1.8 mS/cm (Part A plus Part B and assuming source water at 0.0 EC)
  • Water gift: 3 - 6 liter / m² / day (for full grown plants)
  • Plants root best in the Coco medium when it is not too wet
  • Never mix the A-concentrate directly with the B-concentrate, as insoluble combinations will occur
  • Store in a dark place, away from extremes of hot and cold
  • Over fertilization has a negative effect on the nutrient mix and plant quality
  • Not to be used in protected nature reserves, reed beds or swampy areas, in hedges or small woods, in bodies of surface waters or near groundwater collecting areas

What does Canna Nutrients Coco Part A do, and which growth stages is Canna Coco A&B designed for?

Canna Nutrients Coco Part A is one half of a complete two-part nutrient system formulated to support plants through both the growth and flowering phases in coco substrate. Because coco has unique buffering qualities that bind and release nutrients, Canna Coco A&B does not require separate Vega and Flores versions, making one formulation sufficient from seedling through harvest.

Why does Canna Coco come as a separate Part A and Part B instead of a single bottle?

Canna Nutrients Coco Part A is sold separately from Part B because the high concentrations of calcium (in Part A) and phosphate (in Part B) will react and form a slimy residue if combined in one bottle. Keeping the two components apart and mixing each into the reservoir water separately prevents this conflict. Always add Canna Coco Part A to the water first, then add Part B.

How do you mix and apply Canna Nutrients Coco Part A, and what pH and EC levels are recommended?

To use Canna Nutrients Coco Part A, shake the bottle well, fill the reservoir with water, add Part A at 0.5 fl oz per gallon (40 ml per 10 L), then add an equal amount of Part B, and stir well. The recommended pH range is 5.5 to 6.2, and the combined EC for Part A plus Part B is 0.8 to 1.8 mS/cm, assuming source water at 0.0 EC. Never mix Part A concentrate directly with Part B concentrate before adding both to water.

Is Canna Nutrients Coco Part A suitable for drain-to-waste coco systems?

Yes, Canna Nutrients Coco Part A is specifically designed for use in buffered coco substrate and is described as extremely suitable for drain-to-waste cultivation. The sponge-like structure of coco stores nutrients and allows plants to regulate their own intake, which pairs well with drain-to-waste feeding schedules.

What is the N-P-K of Canna Nutrients Coco Part A, and is the formula organic or OMRI certified?

Canna Nutrients Coco Part A carries an N-P-K of 4-0-1 and is an inorganic-based liquid nutrient. Canna Coco Part A is not OMRI certified, so growers following certified organic programs should note this before use.

How does growing in coco substrate with Canna Coco nutrients benefit root development compared to potting mix?

Coco substrate is airier than standard potting mix, which creates more physical space for roots to expand and delivers greater oxygen levels to the root zone. When paired with Canna Nutrients Coco Part A and Part B, this environment stimulates both growth and bloom and is associated with bigger yields according to Canna's product research.
