Lindorus lophanthae is a black lady beetle that thrives in temperatures of 59-77° F and a relative humidity of 20-90%. Both adults and larvae feed on soft scale, including purple, black, brown, and red, as well as mealybugs and insect eggs.

Appearance: Small (2.5 mm./1/10 in.) shiny, black lady bird beetles. The larvae are grey alligator shaped with light colored bands running along the abdomen.
