Hydro-Logic RO Filter Parts & Upgrade Kits
Hydro-Logic replacement parts and upgrade kits maintain the performance of installed Hydro-Logic RO systems over time. This collection covers the full service catalog for Hydro-Logic systems: replacement RO membranes (including HYDROID encapsulated membranes), sediment pre-filters, carbon block filters, KDF/catalytic carbon upgrades, UV sterilizer upgrade kits, membrane cleaning cartridges, and pressure gauges. Regular replacement of filter consumables is the most important maintenance action for any RO system - neglecting pre-filter replacement is the primary cause of premature membrane failure.
Membrane Replacements
The RO membrane is the core filtration element in a Hydro-Logic system - it provides the high TDS rejection (90-97%) that is the system's primary function. Hydro-Logic HYDROID Encapsulated Membrane replacements use an integrated housing design that replaces the membrane and housing together, eliminating O-ring sealing issues common in traditional membrane cartridge replacements. Standard membrane replacements (compatible with Evolution-RO and Stealth-RO systems) are available in the appropriate dimensions for each system model. Pair with the Hydro-Logic Hyper-Logic Membrane Cleaning Cartridge for scale removal and membrane longevity in hard water applications.
Carbon and Sediment Cartridges
ChloraShield Carbon Filter, KDF85/Catalytic Carbon Filter, Green Coconut Carbon Filter, and standard sediment cartridges are the pre-filter replacements that protect the RO membrane from chlorine, chloramine, and particulate damage. Always replace pre-filters on schedule - every 6 months for sediment, every 6-12 months for carbon. Browse the complete Hydro-Logic RO systems or see all water filtration products. Hydro-Logic Parts & Upgrades FAQ
How do I know which replacement filter fits my Hydro-Logic system?
Hydro-Logic uses Hydro-Logic part numbers on their filter products - each product listing includes the HL part number (e.g., HL22060 for the KDF/Catalytic Carbon Filter, HL22006 for the Green Coconut Carbon Filter). Match the HL part number on your existing filter cartridge to the replacement listing at Hydrobuilder. If the cartridge label is unreadable, identify your RO system model from the system housing or manual and check the Hydro-Logic compatibility guide for that model. All Stealth-RO models use 2.5x10 inch standard cartridges; Evolution-RO and larger systems may use 4.5x10 or 4.5x20 inch housings that require the correct-diameter replacement. Contact 888-815-9763 with your system model number and we can confirm the correct filter part.
What is a UV upgrade kit and do I need one?
Hydro-Logic offers UV sterilizer upgrade kits that add a UV-C treatment stage to an existing Evolution-RO or similar system, providing microbiological purification in addition to the existing mineral and chemical reduction from the RO membrane. UV upgrade kits are relevant for growers using source water that may contain bacterial contamination (private well water, surface water sources, or water with historically elevated bacterial counts). For municipal water that is already disinfected before distribution, UV upgrade is less critical - the RO membrane and carbon pre-filtration provide adequate treatment for typical municipal water quality. If your source water has had bacteria or coliform detected in testing, a UV upgrade provides meaningful additional protection.
What does the Hyper-Logic Membrane Cleaning Cartridge do?
The Hydro-Logic Hyper-Logic Membrane Cleaning Cartridge is used to remove mineral scale (calcium carbonate, magnesium deposits) from RO membranes that have been used with hard water. As water passes through the RO membrane, rejected minerals concentrate on the feed side of the membrane surface - over time, scale deposits reduce the effective membrane area and decrease both production rate and rejection percentage. The cleaning cartridge installs in the pre-filter housing and circulates a descaling solution through the system to dissolve and remove scale deposits without requiring membrane removal or manual cleaning. Regular cleaning extends membrane service life in hard water applications and is recommended every 6-12 months for systems processing water above 300 ppm source TDS.
