The principal developer of AMT's proprietary process is Lewis Spencer, Founder & President. Together, with Co-Founders Jeff Young and Ira Perry, the three began research into finding revenues in fish processing waste back in the early 1990's. During that time, they developed and perfected a process whereby fish cartilage was extracted from fish enzymatically. The process eliminated much of the handwork associated with processing cartilage for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical use, while simultaneously improving quality, yield and cost controls.
A byproduct of this process is liquid fish fertilizer. AMT markets this fertilizer under the brand name Organic Gem. Organic Gem has been sold widely throughout the world to a growing number of large and small customers, both agricultural and consumer.
