HGV is a nutrient system built for growers who want consistent, precise feeding without unnecessary complexity. The line runs on three core formulas - Base, Grow, and Flower - with Base paired alongside Grow during vegetative growth and alongside Flower during bloom, so only two products are ever mixed at once. All formulas use fully chelated mineral inputs for reliable uptake across a range of growing media and system types, and are available in both dry and liquid concentrate formats to fit different mixing preferences and storage needs.

HGV Dry & Liquid Nutrients
HGV's base nutrient line provides a complete two-part program covering both vegetative and flowering stages - formulated to deliver accurate, consistent EC contribution in coco coir, rockwool, perlite, and recirculating hydroponic systems. The two-part A and B format separates nutrients that cannot coexist in concentrated form (primarily calcium from phosphates and sulfates) to prevent precipitation in the concentrated stock solution. Fully dissolve each part separately before combining in the reservoir, following the mixing order specified on the label. HGV base nutrients are designed to work as a complete standalone program or alongside qualified Cal-Mag supplements for RO water and coco coir programs. Free shipping.
HGV Condition Line
The HGV Condition Line covers water and pH management alongside the base nutrient program: pH Up and pH Down for precise pH correction, HGV Level to stabilize pH and improve plant stress resistance, and HGV Clear to help keep irrigation lines and root zones clean. All four are formulated for compatibility with HGV base nutrients, so pH and water conditioning stay dialed in without introducing antagonism into the feed program. For growers new to HGV or building a first complete program alongside pH and EC meters, base nutrients plus Cal-Mag plus a pH conditioner is a solid starting configuration. Use our Nutrient Mixing Calculator to dial in exact dosing for your target EC and reservoir volume.
What makes HGV nutrients different from other brands?
HGV uses fully chelated mineral inputs formulated for consistent nutrient uptake across coco coir, rockwool, and recirculating hydroponic systems. The line is built around a straightforward base-plus-two-formula program that's easy to dial in, with a Condition Line that layers on cleanly for pH and water management. For growers who want dependable, no-guesswork feeding without a steep learning curve, HGV works well as a starting program or a long-term one.
Does HGV come with a feeding schedule?
Yes - HGV nutrients include a recommended feeding schedule covering vegetative growth, early flower, peak flower, and late flower/flush phases with specific dosing rates for each stage. Start at the low end of the recommended range for the first cycle and adjust based on plant response and EC meter readings. Like any nutrient program, target EC and plant health indicators should guide your actual application rates rather than the schedule alone - use it as a starting framework and dial in from there.
Can I use HGV nutrients in any hydroponic system?
Yes - HGV base nutrients are formulated for compatibility across coco coir, rockwool, perlite, recirculating DWC/RDWC, and drain-to-waste drip systems. The clean, fully chelated formulation stays in solution well in recirculating systems and does not produce the sediment or precipitate issues that can affect lower-quality nutrient programs in long-run RDWC configurations. For soil or heavily buffered living soil programs, a soil-specific nutrient approach may be more appropriate than a hydroponics-optimized program like HGV.
Do I need Cal-Mag with HGV nutrients?
If you are using RO or soft water, or growing in coco coir, yes - add a dedicated Cal-Mag supplement. HGV base nutrients provide calcium and magnesium in their formulation, but RO water strips Ca and Mg from the base solution composition, and coco coir actively buffers calcium from nutrient solution until saturated. In these scenarios, supplemental Cal-Mag at 2-4 ml/gallon before base nutrients provides the additional Ca and Mg needed to meet plant requirements. With moderately hard tap water (150-300 ppm TDS), the tap water's Ca and Mg content may be sufficient alongside the base nutrients without additional supplementation.
Is there free shipping on HGV nutrients?
