What Is Wet Trimming?

Trimming your flowers, buds, or leaves wet means that you have trimmed them by hand or with a trimming machine before they have dried. This is a popular method with many commercial growers since you are able to save more space and trim faster than dry trimming.

When trimming wet, you will need to use drying racks to dry your flowers after they run through the trimming machine. This will prevent mold and mildew possibilities.

One of the main concerns growers have with trimming wet is the potential lack of "bag appeal" due to lost terpenes and excess chlorophyll, which is what can give the end product a green taste and smell.

If you have the time and space to hang your plants on the stem for a slow and steady dry and cure we suggest using a dry trimming machine.

Dry bud trimming machines will leave you with a better tasting, better smelling, and overall higher-quality end product. Trimming dry also allows you to make extracts or concentrates with your leftover trim.
