In 1989, our founder Ron Goldman began blending nutrients for his own commercial greenhouse operation. The formulas we blend today were developed through years of research, solution and tissue testing, and - most importantly - real-world results in commercial growing environments.

By 2014, Ron began offering HGV Nutrients to help other growers benefit from the same products he had successfully used in his own facilities. At the time, few - if any - dry formulations were available. The market was saturated with overpriced nutrient lines, many of them incomplete. This created an opportunity for manufacturers to charge a premium for so-called “additives”—essential elements that had simply been left out of their base formulas.
