What Are Veg Nutrients?
Veg nutrients are, simply put, nutrients for veg stage of growing. They provide much higher levels of nitrogen than bloom nutrients, with lower levels of phosphorus and potassium. These three nutrients make up the NPK ratio.
The reason veg nutrients have higher levels of nitrogen is because this macronutrient is responsible for helping your plants produce branches and foliage.
By feeding ample nitrogen throughout the veg stage, your plants will grow big and strong with lots of green biomass, and plenty of bud sites for when you make the flip to flower.

Many newer growers ask, how long should I veg for the best yield? This comes down to your goals as a grower. You get out in flower what you put in during veg, so the shorter your veg cycle the lower your yields will be.
This is why its best to veg for at least 4-6 weeks. The longer you can veg, the better. But, your growing space will also play a factor. You don’t want your plant to outgrow your tent or room.
So, you need to be aware that your plant will stretch at least 50% when you make the flip to flower, and veg accordingly.
This is all assuming you are growing indoors, where you actually have a say in when your plants start flowering. If you are growing outdoors, you’ll be growing in conjunction with the outdoor growing calendar, and thus, mother nature makes the call on this! You’re plants will start flowering in late June or early July.
