General Hydroponics ProRelease Field Formula 20-7-20 is a blend of coated and uncoated granulated fertilizers designed for high-value, field-grown crops like herbs. Apply at the start of your season and watch your crops thrive. Feeds for up to 4 months.* Controlled Release Fertilizers (CRF) are granulated fertilizers designed to be applied directly to the root zone of the crop. Utilizing poly-sulfur coating technologies, CRFs slowly and predictably release fertilizer over time, continuously feeding for months with only a single application! This allows for unprecedented ease of use and control for professional growers.
Note:* Will vary based on soil needs, planting density, temperature, climate, crop, media, irrigation or rainfall amount and especially other nutrient usages. For growers seeking the ultimate in precision crop nutrition management, we recommend using ProRelease as the backbone of your fertility program and strategically deploying General Hydroponics FloraPro or Flora Series water soluble or liquid fertilizers throughout the growing cycle to help steer your crop. Our philosophy is simple: Plants need nutrients to reach their full potential. Provide your crops the nutrients they need, in the right proportions and at the right time during their developmental cycle, to maximize that potential. We call this crop steering. Growing in the field can be a challenge. The weather can be unforgiving. Heavy rains can wash away many conventional types of fertilizers from your crops’ root zone. This can lead to polluting runoff and a waste of time, money and profits. The coated prills of ProRelease Field will not wash away under heavy rainfall and are the best option for introducing critical plant nutrients to your crop when the soil is very wet or saturated (if used as directed). Think of ProRelease Field as an excellent insurance policy against the elements, ensuring consistent nutrition in the root zone.
Expensive and laborintensive methods of delivering fertilizers to your field crops can eat into profits. Growers demand an easier, simpler solution that won’t affect performance. The use of ProRelease Field will allow prolonged feeding from a single application, reducing labor and application costs from repeated applications of water soluble or liquid products. Simply apply the fertilizer to your field, plant, and you’re done. How to Use
For field grown herbs, we suggest evaluating rates between 110 to 130 lb N per acre for a 12 week crop planted at a density of approximately 2,000 plants/acre.* ProRelease can be used alone or in conjunction with a liquid fertilizer or other granular fertilizers. It can be broadcast, banded in row or incorporated into the soil using either method. For banding applications, place the band off to the side of the planted plant, preferably below the soil surface. Do not place the band immediately below a planted seed or rooted cutting. For broadcast applications, it is ideal to incorporate the product into the top 1-3 inches of soil. Spread fertilizer evenly on the surface and incorporate.
