What is an ozone generator?
Ozone generators use three atoms of oxygen (O3) as a molecule to remove odors from your grow space.
This is a powerful method of purification and combats contaminants such as mold, bacteria, odors, and pests. Ozone generators can be programmed to work with the size of your grow space and are the most technologically advanced method for odor removal.
The O3 molecules will float around and attach to any contaminants within the growing space, and quickly kill them.
Do plants like ozone?
While the presence of ozone in your garden will not directly makes plants grow like CO2, it is an extremely beneficial compound. Ozone keeps plants healthy, and works as a defense mechanism to prevent molds, bacteria, and other contaminants from interfering with regular plant function.
An indoor garden without ozone is more susceptible to these contaminants than one with ozone. In a way, ozone does help plants grow, by protecting them from harmful pathogens in the air.
Does ozone kill powdery mildew?
If you find powdery mildew, or any other molds or fungus growing on or near plants, eradication is easy.
First, you will need to ozonate water. This is the same process as oxygenating water with an air pump. Simply connect a tube to your ozone generator, and connect this to an air stone in a reservoir.
Once your water is ozonated, you can fill a spray bottle and attack powdery mildew, spores, bud rot, and other pests on leaves by spraying foliage.
