As a general guideline, it is not advisable to use UV light during the germination process. Excessive UV exposure has the potential to inhibit seed germination and can be detrimental to young seedlings. However, in the growth phase of your plants, it's a good practice to activate UV light for 5 minutes every hour. The 5-minute duration every hour strikes a balance between providing the benefits of UV light and avoiding potential harm from excessive exposure. It allows your plants to reap the advantages of UV light without the risk of overexposure.

During the early vegetative stages, it's beneficial to incorporate UV light, specifically UV-A, for approximately 1-2 hours each day. UV-A light plays a pivotal role in the production of essential pigments and antioxidants, which in turn strengthens seedlings and improves their photosynthetic efficiency.
