GreenClean - Acidic Cleaning Agent

GreenClean Acid Cleaner combines acids with non-foaming surfactants to help lift away organic deposits and clean surfaces contaminated with calcium, rust, and bicarbonate deposits. It is ideal for wherever scale, oxide, or lime buildup is an issue. GreenClean Acid Cleaner can be used in evaporator cooler pads, piping systems, process lines, vats, conveyors, and greenhouse shade films. It can also be used for the neutralization of alkalinity in hoses and liners.

GreenClean Acid Cleaner in a Facility Cleaning Program

GreenClean Acid Cleaner handles the mineral side of facility cleaning - calcium scale, bicarbonate buildup, rust, and hard water deposits that alkaline cleaners can't dissolve and that accumulate in greenhouse structures, irrigation lines, evaporative cooler pads, and glass or polycarbonate glazing. In hard water areas or facilities that run high-calcium nutrient programs, mineral scale is a persistent maintenance issue that provides pathogen harborage points if left untreated.

Use GreenClean Acid Cleaner as the pH-lowering neutralization step after GreenClean Alkaline, or as a standalone mineral removal treatment between crop cycles. The 0-hour REI means treated areas can be accessed immediately after application.

What does GreenClean Acid Cleaner remove?

GreenClean Acid Cleaner (sulfuric acid and surfactant blend) removes calcium scale, bicarbonate deposits, rust, hard water mineral buildup, and organic biofilm from irrigation lines, drip emitters, heat exchangers, and hard surfaces. It addresses the inorganic scale that alkaline cleaners cannot dissolve.

Is there a time limit for holding GreenClean Acid Cleaner in irrigation lines?

Yes - critical. GreenClean Acid Cleaner should not remain in PVC irrigation lines for more than 2 to 4 hours maximum. If left longer, the surfactant can attack PVC cement at fittings and elbows, potentially damaging line connections. After the hold time, flush with 2x the system volume of clean water, then proceed with SaniDate 12.0 for disinfection.

How does GreenClean Acid Cleaner fit into a full line reset protocol?

Step 1: Run GreenClean Acid Cleaner through lines for 2 to 4 hours (maximum). Step 2: Flush with 2x system volume of clear water. Step 3: Introduce SaniDate 12.0 at label rates for a minimum 4-hour hold, overnight preferred. This acid-then-PAA sequence addresses both mineral scale and waterborne pathogen inoculum.
