TrolMaster Hydro-X Series Grow Room Controllers
The TrolMaster Hydro-X Series is a professional-grade environmental control platform for indoor growing operations. At the core is the Hydro-X Pro - a central controller that monitors CO2, temperature, humidity, and VPD simultaneously and manages fans, dehumidifiers, CO2 generators, chillers, heaters, and lighting from a single unit. TrolMaster's sensor-to-device architecture connects peripheral sensors and expansion modules to the controller, allowing the system to scale from a basic single-room setup to a multi-zone commercial facility without replacing the central hardware.
Environmental Parameters Controlled
The Hydro-X Pro monitors and controls every major environmental variable that affects crop production. CO2 supplementation at defined PPM setpoints with automated high/low alerts. Temperature and humidity management tied to day/night profiles and VPD targets. Lighting control via 0-10V dimming output compatible with most commercial LED drivers. Fan speed management through EC motor speed controllers. Auxiliary device control for dehumidifiers, humidifiers, heaters, chillers, and CO2 generators via dedicated device expansion modules. All parameters are logged to the TrolMaster app for historical review and alert management from anywhere.
Sensors and Expansion Modules
TrolMaster offers a full sensor and expansion ecosystem for the Hydro-X platform - CO2 sensors, temperature/humidity probes, PAR sensors, and device expansion modules needed to connect and control specific equipment types. The modular approach means you can start with a core Hydro-X Pro and add control capabilities incrementally as your system grows. TrolMaster Hydro-X FAQ
What does the TrolMaster Hydro-X Pro control?
The Hydro-X Pro is a central environmental controller that monitors CO2 PPM, temperature, humidity, and VPD simultaneously and manages connected grow room equipment based on programmed setpoints. It controls fans, dehumidifiers, humidifiers, CO2 generators, supplemental heating and cooling, and LED lighting (via 0-10V dimming output) through a combination of onboard outlets and device expansion modules. Day/night profiles allow different setpoints for lights-on and lights-off periods. All monitored data is logged to the TrolMaster app for remote monitoring and historical analysis.
What is the difference between the Hydro-X Pro and the standard Hydro-X?
The Hydro-X Pro is TrolMaster's full-featured commercial controller with the complete sensor input suite (CO2, temp/RH, auxiliary inputs), 0-10V lighting control, and full device expansion module compatibility. The standard Hydro-X is a more entry-level version with a smaller device footprint. For commercial applications or any setup where full sensor integration and lighting control are required, the Hydro-X Pro is the appropriate choice. Contact our support team at 888-815-9763 to confirm which model fits your specific equipment list and control requirements.
Can TrolMaster control my LED grow lights?
Yes, if your LED fixtures have a 0-10V dimming input - most commercial-grade LED drivers do. The Hydro-X Pro outputs a 0-10V signal that can be used to adjust fixture intensity based on scheduled lighting programs or integrated control parameters. This allows lights-on/lights-off automation, gradual sunrise and sunset ramps, and emergency dimming responses tied to temperature exceedances. Check your LED driver specifications for 0-10V compatibility before assuming TrolMaster lighting control will work with your fixtures. Our team can confirm compatibility for specific fixture models.
