The Growonix EX1000 is designed to flow 42 gallons per hour of pure RO water with an astounding 1:1 ratio - High flow rates and water savings never before seen in a package so affordable and durable. Utilizing the best DOW membrane technology in the world (98.5% rejection), wrapped in our EX Series patented bracketing system, our premier flagship is a mobile powerhouse. A pair of liquid-filled stainless steel pressure gauges informs when itﾒs time to change the pre-filters. A manual flush valve allows you to clean the membrane, purging out pollutants that could otherwise add buildup to the system. Flushing adds considerable life to the membrane as well. For those who demand even more performance, the EX1000 can be used with a booster pump, raising the system pressure to 150psi, doubling the gallon per day output.
"This EX1000-T comes with 'Tall' pre-filter housings which allow for twice the standard pre-filtration capacity-handling. Up to 34,000 total gallons of chlorine or chloramine removal with 17,000 gallons of RO water at a 1:1 ratio. Chloramine removal requires the KDF85 Catalytic Carbon upgrade.
For those who demand even more performance, the EX600 can be used with a booster pump, raising the system pressure to 150psi, doubling the gallon per day output.
Optional KDF85 Carbon Filter Upgrade
For chlorine and chloramines reduction for city water. Also for well water for iron, hydrogen sulfide, and heavy metals reduction. Will last TWO TIMES AS LONG as the standard green carbon filter. Prolongs the life of the membranes. Reduces chloramines, chlorine, iron, sulfur and heavy metals. Bacteriostatic qualities do not allow microbes to breed in filter.
Optional Accessories for EX400-T Systems:
The EX Series is efficiency at itﾒs best. We went back to the drawing board and asked the question, ""How can we do the same thing we did with the GX Series, but do it at a special price point, one which opens the doors to everyone wishing to make purified water - without sacrificing the quality that is synonymous with the GrowoniX product line?" With the EX Series, we were able to strip out all the non-essential components, and leave in all the high quality parts found in the GX Series. We reduced the manufacturing cost and passed that savings along to our customers. Along the way, we discovered something special: On the EX600 and EX1000, the new bracket we developed allowed us to use tall 20" pre-filters - nobody has ever done this. The amount of sediment and carbon pre-treatment just doubled. The EX600 and EX1000 Series are offered at an unparalleled price point. Boasting the same processing power and upgrade-ability as the GX Series - and still at a 1:1 ratio. If your water demands grow in the near future, just add a BP Series booster pump and double your flow rate.
Works well for whole house RO unit. Review by wrb
Like the Merlin unit - sucker sweats when it is really humid out. Have to account this - or you'll have mildew issues. I wrapped all of the lines, so only the unit sweats. I am looking forward to the less maintenance this will be going forward because of the extra large pre-filters. They are 4 time larger than the one filter on the Merlin unit, and 2 of them (ie 8 times larger). This is true also of the Evolution - 8 times more. The Merlin came with a refrigerator type pre-filter as well - which is not useable when using it heavily. Clogs fast.
More - this is built with components that are user replaceable. When the Merlin finally gave it up - there was no fixing it.
This units wastes much less water, than the Merlin - however many of the new ones also are more efficient.
I am cleaning well water, about 1000 ppm, mostly NaCl. 65 to 70 psi, from a 3/4Hp deep well submersible.
So - a little more money than the Evolution unit, but because I use a lot of water, it is worth it. I found it the best value in its class (the class above the Evolution), and it will be the last one I will need to buy because it has customer replaceable parts.
If I was using it for lighter duty applications, like making aquarium water, or home hydroponic growing - I would have gotten the cheaper Evolution, which is a direct replacement and an upgrade for the Merlin. They both have a place. I use 50000 gallons plus a year of RO water using it for all water needs, including watering the garden.

Great RO filter for our small brewery Review by J Scholb
Just got water test results back from Ward Labs and the RO takes out almost everything.
I recommend this for anyone who needs a medium sized RO system.
