Flows 42 gallons per hour of pure RO water with an astounding 1:1 ratio
The Growonix EX1000 is designed to flow 42 gallons per hour of pure RO water with an astounding 1:1 ratio - High flow rates and water savings never before seen in a package so affordable and durable. Utilizing the best membrane technology in the world (98.5% rejection), wrapped in our EX Series patented bracketing system, our premier flagship is a mobile powerhouse. A pair of liquid-filled stainless steel pressure gauges informs when itメs time to change the pre-filters. A manual flush valve allows you to clean the membrane, purging out pollutants that could otherwise add buildup to the system. Flushing adds considerable life to the membrane as well. For those who demand even more performance, the EX1000 can be used with a booster pump, raising the system pressure to 150psi, doubling the gallon per day output.
The EX1000-T comes with 'Tall' pre-filter housings which allow for twice the standard pre-filtration capacity-handling. Up to 34,000 total gallons of chlorine or chloramine removal with 17,000 gallons of RO water at a 1:1 ratio. Chloramine removal requires the KDF85 Catalytic Carbon upgrade.
Growonix EX1000 - Tall Systems Features:
- 1,000 GPD Capacity
- 42 GPH
- High Flow Cold Water membrane
- 1:1 system ratio-most efficient in the industry.
- Electrogalvanized powder coated steel brackets
- High purity Coconut Carbon filter
- High Flow sediment filter
- Auto Shutoff Valve
- Membrane Flush kit
- No Assembly Required
- No additional pre-filters needed. (Chloramine removal requires optional KDF85/CAT carbon filter)
- Same amazing flow rate as the GX series!
The EX1000 comes in 3 other variations for your specific requirements:
- EX1000
- EX1000 Deluxe - Booster pumps included
- EX1000 Tall Deluxe - Extended filters & booster pump
KDF/Catalytic Carbon
For chlorine and chloramines reduction for city water. Also for well water for iron, hydrogen sulfide, and heavy metals reduction. Will last TWO TIMES AS LONG as the standard green carbon filter. Prolongs the life of the membranes. Reduces chloramines, chlorine, iron, sulfur and heavy metals. Bacteriostatic qualities do not allow microbes to breed in filter.
Replacement & Upgraded Filters for EX1000 - Tall
*This filter is included. All other filters are available as substitutions and upgrades.
Carbon Filters

CF-4520-CC
White Coconut Carbon Block: Ultra high purity coconut shell activated carbon filter. Superior chemical absorption and turbidity reduction. The unbeatable cost of performance value.

CF-4520-KDF
KDF85/Catalytic Carbon Filter: KDF85 Bacteriostatic media controls the growth of microorganisms. Good for water-soluble metals removal, chlorine, chloramine, and scale. Highly reactive catalytic carbon, extremely porous and long-lasting. Absolutely the best carbon filter available, a must for well water treatment, and the best option for removal of CHLORAMINE! Needs flushing upon initial startup and after filter changes to remove carbon fines and dust.
Sediment Filters

*SF-4520-SP
Spun polypropylene: A true multi-staged depth filter utilizing separate layers of micron filtration. Constructed spun polypropylene, these filters offer superior dirt holding capacity at an extremely economical price. They have more pressure drop than pleated filters. Great filter for changing frequently, especially in well water applications, or any situation where feed water is loaded with sediment.
Membrane Filters

*GXM-1000-HF
High Flow Cold Water Membrane element: Less rejection than high rejection membranes, but with a much higher flow rate. Superior flow in cold water conditions as well. Our most popular membrane element.

GXM-1000-HR
High Rejection Membrane element: More rejection than high flow membranes, but with less flow rate. Great for ultra pure drinking water.
UV Water Filter

UV-6010
Stainless steel ultraviolet filtration to remove 99.9% of micro-organisms in your water supply. A must for well water treatment, whole house filter systems, or any time water will be stored. Flow rate of 1 GPM

GrowoniX EX1000-T - 1000 GPD Reverse Osmosis Filtration System with Tall Filters Reviews
- Works well for whole house RO unit.
This replaced a failing Merlin unit used as a whole house RO unit. Had it for 10 years. Feeds a 300 gallon poly tank that is stuffed in a closet. Float valve. Keeps up and is much quieter than the Merlin unit was. The Merlin unit mostly kept up, but could use the reserve up faster than it could keep up in some cases -ie multiple showers, washer loads and dishes. Poly tank is only 2/3's full because of the mounting of the float valve. TheEx1000-T keeps up.
Like the Merlin unit - sucker sweats when it is really humid out. Have to account this - or you'll have mildew issues. I wrapped all of the lines, so only the unit sweats. I am looking forward to the less maintenance this will be going forward because of the extra large pre-filters. They are 4 time larger than the one filter on the Merlin unit, and 2 of them (ie 8 times larger). This is true also of the Evolution - 8 times more. The Merlin came with a refrigerator type pre-filter as well - which is not useable when using it heavily. Clogs fast.
More - this is built with components that are user replaceable. When the Merlin finally gave it up - there was no fixing it.
This units wastes much less water, than the Merlin - however many of the new ones also are more efficient.
I am cleaning well water, about 1000 ppm, mostly NaCl. 65 to 70 psi, from a 3/4Hp deep well submersible.
So - a little more money than the Evolution unit, but because I use a lot of water, it is worth it. I found it the best value in its class (the class above the Evolution), and it will be the last one I will need to buy because it has customer replaceable parts.
If I was using it for lighter duty applications, like making aquarium water, or home hydroponic growing - I would have gotten the cheaper Evolution, which is a direct replacement and an upgrade for the Merlin. They both have a place. I use 50000 gallons plus a year of RO water using it for all water needs, including watering the garden.
Review by wrb on 6/3/2016- Great RO filter for our small brewery
This is a great RO filter. We are starting up a small craft brewery and I struggled to find a medium sized RO filter. Industrial ones are $5k to $10k, and home ones are much too small. The flow rate is good at about a 1/2 gallon a minute. The waste stream is much less than home units at about a 1:1 ratio. We are collecting both streams in tanks to allow for rapid transfer of the water to the brew system. The waste water stream will be used for cleaning water to help conserve.
Just got water test results back from Ward Labs and the RO takes out almost everything.
I recommend this for anyone who needs a medium sized RO system.
