What is a dry sift tumbler?
Using dry sift tumblers, also known as pollen tumblers is one of the safest and easiest ways to process your trim and turn it into pure solventless concentrates. They go by a number of other names, such as pollen tumblers, dry sift machines, kief tumblers, and even pollen sifter tumblers. These machines work by softly tumbling the dry trim or flower in a micron screened tumbler, gently knocking off the resin glands or crystals, also known as kief, which will be collected. Top-quality dry sift is recognized for its artisan process and admired for its terpene profile, potency, and its ability to melt and vaporize completely.
What to do with your dry sift or kief after extraction
After you have collected the dry sift, you have multiple options with what you can do with it. Most people will either press the dry sift into a more solid form for long-term storage with a Pollen Press from brands like Jack Puck. But, more often we recommend you consider a Rosin Press to further process it into a sap-like oil called Rosin. Pressing your dry sift with a rosin press will create a very clean, flavorful and potent concentrated form of oil.
