COCO COIR : Loose

Our Buffered Loose Coco Coir for is a substrate made from the fibrous husks of ripe coconuts. Coco coir is rich in calcium nitrate to promote your plant's vigor, strength, and better nutrient uptake.

Rx Green Technologies' coco coir enhances growth by providing excellent aeration and drainage, leading to healthier roots and bigger yields. Moreover, its ability to retain nutrients ensures steady access for the plants, contributing to optimal potency.

Coco substrates are designed for commercial cultivations of all sizes. Available in both 100% pure coco and 70/30 coco/perlite mixes. Bulk coco coir options are also available.

    What is RxGreen Clean Coco 70/30 Coco/Perlite blend?

    Clean Coco is RxGreen's core 2 cubic foot coco product, sold as a 70/30 Coco/Perlite blend. It's buffered with calcium nitrate at the factory, with consistent quality landing around 0.3 EC and 6.0 pH per lot.

    Is RxGreen coco OMRI certified?

    Yes. All RxGreen coco products are OMRI certified — including the perlite blended into the 70/30 mix, not just the coco itself. Every lot is backed by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) available on request, and the lot code printed on each bag or pallet shows the product, production date, pH, and EC for full traceability.

    Is this actually 2 cubic feet, or is that rounded like some competitors?

    This is a true 2 cubic foot bag. Many competitors market bags as 2 cubic feet when they're actually closer to 1.75-1.8 cubic feet — RxGreen's bag delivers roughly 13% more product than those competitor bags at the same labeled size.

    Where does RxGreen source its coco from?

    RxGreen works directly with third-generation coco farms in inland India — not coastal sourcing, which is common with coco marketed from Sri Lanka. The company manufactures all of its coco products at its own facility in Denver, where incoming raw material and finished product both go through quality testing before shipping.

    Can I get a custom coco/perlite blend ratio?

    Yes. Beyond the standard 70/30 blend, RxGreen can produce custom ratios like 90/10 or 50/50 for large enough order volumes — reach out to your rep to discuss minimum order requirements.

    How should RxGreen coco be stored?

    Indoors, in a climate-controlled space. RxGreen manufactures and stores all product indoors — pallets are never left outdoors, which can be a problem with some other coco suppliers, leading to rain intrusion or moisture pooling on top of exposed pallets.

    How does the shelf life of this compare to RxGreen's ready-to-use bags?

    The 2 cubic foot bags hold moisture better and have a longer shelf life than the RTU line, since they don't have the micro-perforations used on RTU bags for breathability. Even so, RxGreen recommends keeping pallets wrapped and stored indoors in a climate-controlled space.
