Pioppino (Black Poplar) Liquid Culture Syringe
A gourmet treasure for the home cultivator. The Pioppino, or Black Poplar mushroom (Cyclocybe aegerita), is a stunning species prized for its rich, nutty flavor and a uniquely firm, crisp texture that holds up beautifully during cooking. Rarely found in markets but incredibly easy to grow, this strain is a definitive staff favorite at Redwood Mushroom Supply (RMS).
Growth Characteristics & Tips
This aggressive colonizer produces generous, tight clusters of velvety golden-brown caps. To achieve a full, impressive canopy, we recommend top-fruiting. For best results, keep the culture in a bag until small fruits appear, then open the bag to provide the high airflow this species craves. Using rubber bands to minimize side-pinning will help focus growth into a dense, easy-to-harvest top cluster.
