Use Rapid Rooter for robust early rooting that supports explosive plant growth!
Rapid Rooter plugs are all natural soilless grow plugs made of composted tree bark and organic materials. These plugs are perfect for seedlings or cuttings. Transplant plugs in soil or soilless hydrogardening applications.
Rapid Rooter's® breakthrough technology produces a unique matrix of composted organic materials bonded together with plant-derived polymers. Rapid Rooter® plugs are manufactured using a scientifically controlled process that yields large populations of beneficial microbes in the media. These naturally-occurring microbes colonize young roots, helping plants resist disease while maximizing nutrient uptake.
Rapid Rooter® plugs are fortified with General Hydroponic micronutrients for abundant root growth. The optimal air-to-water ratio within the plug matrix results in explosive early root growth. Use Rapid Rooter® for robust early rooting that supports explosive plant growth.

General Hydroponics Rapid Rooter Tray - 50 Cell Tray & Plugs Questions & Answers
How do I use Rapid Rooter plugs for cuttings?
Rapid Rooters work best when in a 50-cell tray. Place a cutting in the small hole on the top of the Rapid Rooter plug enough where the cutting will stand upright on its own. Place the tray under proper lighting, then once multiple roots pop out the cutting can then be transplanted into a hydroponic system or directly into soil.
How do I use Rapid Rooter plugs for starting seeds?
Rapid Rooters work best when in a 50-cell tray. Drop the proper amount of seeds in the small hole on the top of the Rapid Rooter plug and place the tray in a dark area until sprouting occurs. Then move tray into a lighted area and grow until seedlings are large enough to transplant into a hydroponic system or directly into soil.
Do I need to soak my Rapid Rooter plugs?
For optimal results soak Rapid Rooter plugs in pure water with a light blooming formula (200ppm or 0.4mS), then place back in tray and follow procedure for cuttings or sees.
Do I need to water my Rapid Rooter plugs?
Do not water Rapid Rooter plugs unless they are drying out. The plugs are designed to hold the proper amount of moisture and oxygen that is optimal for starting seeds and rooting cuttings.
