CVault Stainless Steel Humidity-Controlled Storage Containers
CVault containers are food-grade stainless steel storage vessels with a built-in Boveda pack holder in the lid that maintains consistent relative humidity throughout the cure. Stainless steel construction eliminates the off-gassing and chemical leaching risks associated with plastic storage, blocks UV light completely, and does not absorb or transfer odors between batches. CVault is the standard for growers who treat harvest storage as a critical part of the production process.
How CVault Works
A Boveda humidity pack slides into the dedicated holder in the CVault lid, maintaining a stable humidity level inside the sealed container without touching the contents directly. Boveda packs are available in 58% and 62% RH for different moisture targets depending on crop type and desired texture. The two-way humidity regulation in Boveda packs prevents both over-drying and excess moisture buildup -- the container does not require burping the way glass jars do during an active cure. CVault containers use a food-grade silicone gasket and stainless latch closure to maintain an airtight seal.
Size Range
CVault is available in sizes from the small 0.06L Personal up through the Large (4L), XL (8L), 2XL (11L), 3XL (21L), and flat storage formats for commercial volume. Multiple sizes can be used in parallel for different product batches or different humidity targets within the same operation. The flat versions maximize shelf and cabinet storage density in commercial curing rooms. Shop all harvest curing and storage supplies including True Liberty Bags.
CVault FAQ
What size CVault do I need?
CVault sizes are listed by internal volume. The Small (0.5L) holds approximately 1 oz of dried material, the Large (4L) holds approximately 4-5 oz, the XL (8L) holds approximately 8-10 oz, and the 2XL (11L) holds a quarter pound or more. For commercial curing operations, the 3XL (21L) and flat-format containers offer the best density per shelf. Match container size to batch weight -- partial fills cure less evenly than full or near-full containers.
What Boveda pack RH should I use with CVault?
58% RH is generally recommended for drier, crispier end products. 62% RH is the most common choice for soft, pliable cured material. The right target depends on your crop type, post-harvest goals, and storage duration. Use the same RH across all containers in a curing batch for consistent results. Boveda packs are replaceable -- swap when the pack feels fully rigid and no longer has any give, which indicates the two-way humidity buffer is exhausted.
Does CVault need to be burped during curing?
No. The Boveda pack manages humidity passively in both directions -- absorbing excess moisture if the contents are too wet and releasing moisture if the environment drops below target. This eliminates the need for daily burping that glass jar curing requires. For newly harvested material that is still releasing significant moisture, a brief daily vent for the first few days helps prevent oversaturation of the Boveda pack.
