When you purchase all the nutrients that make up the Flora Series feeding chart - you get just that. Everything they need at each stage of growth.
What Nutrients Make Up The General Hydroponics Flora Series?
The base nutrients of the General Hydroponics Flora Series are what make it so great - these three base nutes create the perfect foundation for a well rounded feeding schedule:
- General Hydroponics FloraGro - necessary for structural and foliar growth, while promoting a strong, robust root system. This will be the primary player during the vegetative stage.
- General Hydroponics FloraMicro - you'll feed this nutrient throughout to provide your plants with Nitrogen, Potassium, Calcium, and a myriad of other essential trace micronutrients and elements.
- General Hydroponics FloraBloom - provides the nutrients and minerals necessary for dense, heavy buds during the flower stage.
But, these three base nutrients aren’t enough on their own to deliver the explosive yields and top-shelf quality you’re hoping for. You need to compliment them with the rest of the additives from this line:

How Do You Use The General Hydroponics Flora Series Feeding Chart?
There are a few different versions of the Flora Series Feeding Schedule - which we just outlined above. But to make this easier on yourself, review this downloadable Flora Series Feeding Schedule.
As you can see, you can either follow the simple feeding regimen or the expert regimen - which consists of all the additives necessary for heavy yields and potent flowers.
The feeding schedule makes it super easy to determine when you need to switch nutrients from the growth stage to the bloom stage, with PPM readings you can follow. Here are some questions we commonly get asked in regards to this schedule:
Tips On Following The General Hydroponics Flora Series Feeding Schedule
Ensure your pH is dialed into the ideal range before feeding this line to your plants - after mixing in your nutrients, adjust pH to 5.5-6.5.
If you’re growing in a recirculating system, you’ll need to keep the solution under 75 degrees and change it out at least once every 7-10 days. Between changes, ensure you’re topping off the reservoir so your plants don’t go hungry.
If you’re growing in a drain to waste system things will be a bit different. You’ll want to ensure you keep that same temperature and pH range, but ensure you’re allowing 5-25% runoff each irrigation.
We also recommend you give a fresh water irrigation every 1-3 nutrient applications to prevent overfeeding and give a little flush. This will prevent nutrient buildup - which could eventually turn into nutrient lockout.
How To Mix General Hydroponics Flora Series Nutrients
When following the General Hydroponics Flora Series feeding chart, you’ll see that all recommendations are given in gallons. For example, in week one of the regimen you’ll feed 2ml FloraMicro and 1ml of both FloraGro and FloraBloom per gallon of water.
Mix in your base nutrients first, and then consider which additives you still have to add. If you’re using both Armor Si and CAliMAGic, Armor Si should be mixed first.
Other than that - the feeding chart is incredibly user friendly and easy to follow. If you take care to properly mix your nutrients, adjust pH, and monitor PPM’s - you’ll be rewarded with a heavy, potent harvest!
