Cold Water Extraction Machines & Bubble Washers
Cold water extraction machines automate the ice water agitation process used in bubble hash production — replacing the manual stirring work of hand-washing methods with a motorized washing drum that provides consistent, repeatable agitation for more uniform trichome separation at higher processing volumes.
Bubble Magic Washing Machines
Bubble Magic washing machines use a drum agitator mechanism to mix plant material, ice, and water in a sealed vessel, mechanically separating trichome glands from plant material through cold water agitation. The process mirrors bubble bag hand washing but with consistent mechanical agitation replacing variable manual stirring — producing more uniform trichome separation across the full batch. Output is drained through bubble bag micron screens for graded collection, using the same bag sets used in manual cold water extraction. Bubble Magic machines are available in 5-gallon and 20-gallon drum capacities, scaling from home production to mid-commercial batch processing volumes.
Cold Water Extraction Workflow
Load the washing drum with plant material, water, and ice. Run the agitation cycle (typically 15–20 minutes for a standard wash). Drain the mixture through stacked bubble bags with progressively finer micron ratings. Allow each bag to drain and collect the trichome material from each screen level separately. Dry the collected material thoroughly before storage or further processing. Starting with fresh-frozen or dried plant material affects output characteristics — fresh-frozen input typically produces higher terpene content in the output; dried material produces a different profile more suited to pressed or rosin applications.
