The CannaFREEZE Freeze Dryer Difference
Freeze drying (Lyophilization) within the CannaFREEZE system commences by first, deep freezing the installed flower/biomass within the CannaFREEZE unit. After complete bio-freeze has been achieved the CannaFREEZE system changes the internal atmosphere to the heat cycle and under specific vacuum set points and 'sublimates' the frozen moisture directly into a 'gas', thus avoiding 'evaporation'. Upon exiting the materials from the CannaFREEZE the flower/biomass will be completely cured and dry while representing a finished product and with an appearance as if it is still on the vine fresh.

How does the CannaFREEZE system cure flower and/or bio-mass extractions?
Lyophilization or freeze-drying is a process in which water is removed from a product after it is frozen and placed under a vacuum with heat, allowing the ice to transition from solid to vapor without passing through a liquid phase. CannaFREEZE system(s) freezes extremely fast, thereby minimizing the size of frozen crystals.
Under vacuum, the CannaFREEZE introduces heat temps at different levels and specific moments to seamlessly transition to the Sublimation stage and when the frozen water crystals transition directly from the solid to the gas phase, without passing through the intermediate liquid phase. During freezing, the cellular wall of the flower, sugar leaf, and biomass Fracture and allows the natural enzymes to be released and thereby consume chlorophyll during the heating stage of the curing process. Hence, smooth smoke with more fragrance or ’nose', (terpene levels).
Hang Dried vs Freeze Dried
When you hang dry a plant for 18-30 days to dry, the enzymes that cause plant senescence deteriorate as they act on the chlorophyll. This is why it takes so long to get rid of the "green" or grassy taste.
During the initial production phase within the CannaFREEZE system, all the cellular walls and botanical membranes are fractured and cracked open during the rapid deep-freeze cycle/phase of processing. This rapid freezing and subsequent fractures created within the botanical membranes facilitates the natural enzymes within the biomass to locate and consume the chlorophyll. When the flower/botanicals/bio-mass exits the CannaFREEZE unit, natural oxygen, combined with 'any' light, (natural or UV) stimulates the enzymes to higher degree of activity and to fully consume, 100% of any remaining chlorophyll.
