Athena Nutrients — Pro Line & Blended Line for Commercial Growers
Athena Nutrients was built specifically for professional cultivators who demand consistency, simplicity, and performance at production scale. Formulated in Los Angeles, CA, every product in the Athena lineup is engineered to deliver clean, precise nutrition with minimal additives — reducing input variability and feeding program complexity across multiple growing cycles and large plant populations.
Athena Pro Line vs. Blended Line: Which Is Right for Your Operation?
Athena offers two distinct nutrient systems designed for different facility types and grower preferences. The Pro Line is a fully water-soluble powder concentrate system (Core, Bloom, and Grow) designed for commercial fertigation infrastructure — stock tank mixing, inline Dosatron injection, and large-batch preparation. It delivers precise macronutrient and micronutrient ratios without sediment, zero clogging in drip lines, and excellent cost-per-gram economy at commercial volume. The Pro Line is particularly well-suited to drain-to-waste drip systems on coco coir or rockwool slabs. The Blended Line offers liquid concentrates in a simplified two-part system (Grow A/B and Bloom A/B in equal amounts, no sediments) suited to growers who prefer liquid concentrates or run recirculating systems where powder concentrates complicate mixing. Both lines are compatible with all growing media: coco coir, rockwool, perlite blends, and traditional soil. Note that when using the Pro Line in reservoir-based systems, circulation pumps are recommended over air stones — aeration raises pH over time with powder-based formulas.
Athena Supplements: Stack, CaMg, Balance & Cleanse
Athena supplements complement both lines. Stack (potassium silicate) strengthens cell walls and improves resistance to environmental stress. CaMg (calcium-magnesium) addresses the elevated calcium and magnesium demand of high-yield flowering crops, particularly important in coco coir and RO water programs. Balance (pH management) simplifies pH adjustment. Cleanse (flush formula) is used to clear residual salts from growing media and root zones before harvest. Products are available from 1L sample sizes through commercial drum quantities, making it practical to trial the program before committing to full-scale adoption.
Athena IPM: Pesticide/Fungicide & Mildew Control
Athena IPM products address foliar disease and insect pressure with EPA 25(b)-exempt formulations using 100% organic microbial exudates. No artificial pesticides or fungicides — compatible with organic programs and safe for use throughout the production cycle without pre-harvest intervals. Athena Mildew Control specifically targets powdery mildew, a common pressure in dense canopy environments with suboptimal airflow or humidity management.
Athena for Commercial & Wholesale Growers
Athena’s combination of yield performance, program simplicity, and cost-effectiveness at volume has made it a dominant choice among commercial CEA operators. Commercial accounts at Hydrobuilder include volume pricing, dedicated account support, and the option to configure automated reorders aligned with your production schedule. Use our Nutrient Mixing & Dilution Calculator to plan batch sizes and EC targets for Pro Line stock tank mixing.

Athena Nutrients FAQ
What is the difference between Athena Pro Line and Athena Blended Line?
The Pro Line is a water-soluble powder concentrate system (Core, Grow, Bloom) designed for commercial fertigation infrastructure — stock tank mixing, Dosatron injection, and large-batch preparation. It has zero sediment, excellent cost-per-gram economics at scale, and is specifically engineered for drain-to-waste drip systems on coco or rockwool. The Blended Line is a liquid concentrate system (Grow A/B and Bloom A/B in equal volumes) suited to growers who prefer liquids or run recirculating systems where powder concentrates complicate mixing. Both lines are compatible with all growing media. Choose Pro Line for commercial drip operations; choose Blended for recirculating systems or growers who prefer liquid concentrates.
How do I set up a Dosatron for Athena Pro Line?
Athena Pro Line is specifically designed for Dosatron injection. Mix each Pro Line component (Core, Grow or Bloom) into separate concentrated stock tanks at 100x concentration (approximately 100g per 1 liter of water). Connect each stock tank to a separate Dosatron unit set at a 1:100 dilution ratio. As water flows through the line, each Dosatron injects the correct concentration of its component into the feed line. This delivers a fully mixed Athena Pro solution at every emitter without any manual batch mixing. The Dosatron D14MZ2 is the most commonly paired model for small-to-mid commercial operations.
What EC should I run with Athena nutrients?
Athena publishes detailed feed charts for their Pro and Blended lines. General targets: early vegetative 1.4–1.8 mS/cm, late vegetative 1.8–2.2 mS/cm, early flowering 2.0–2.4 mS/cm, peak flowering 2.2–2.8 mS/cm, late flowering/flush 0.5–1.0 mS/cm. These ranges assume RO or low-EC source water. If using tap water with EC above 0.3 mS/cm, subtract your source EC from the target and build up to that net EC. Use our Nutrient Mixing Calculator to plan batch mixing for any Athena stage.
What is Athena Stack and when do I use it?
Athena Stack is a potassium silicate supplement that strengthens cell walls, improves stem integrity, and increases plant resistance to environmental stress and pests. Add Stack as the first component when mixing your nutrient solution — potassium silicate raises pH significantly and must be added before other nutrients to prevent precipitation reactions. Use throughout the entire cycle from early vegetative growth to late flower at 0.5–2 mL/gallon depending on growth stage. Stack is compatible with both Pro Line and Blended Line programs.
