Vertical circulation for a uniform mix of horizontal air layers
Due to their ability to deliver consistent air circulation, vertical ventilation fans are more increasingly used to create a constant airflow at animal and plant level. This fan also mixes the warm air from the ridge of a building with cold lower air, helping you save on heating costs.
The Multifan V-FloFan has been specifically developed for 'Next Generation Growing’ (NGG) in the horticultural sector, which aims to create a uniform climate and to generate an air movement layer between the plants as efficiently as possible. The V-FloFan succeeds in these goals by blowing down the warm air from the ridge of a greenhouse or building, helping you save on heating costs.
In addition, a constant low airspeed is created close to the ground. This not only improves the greenhouse climate but also helps to improve the living conditions of, for example, poultry.
Why choose this fan?

Create a uniform greenhouse climate for consistent, even plant growth.
Optimal microclimate on crop level
In modern greenhouses ventilation plays a vital role. Through circulation of air, heat distribution in the greenhouses is optimized, which enhances a uniform development of the crops. With the V-FloFan, Multifan offers the grower the opportunity to reduce the negative impacts, due to humidity, in a simple and energy efficient way. The vertical airflow results in an optimal uniform microclimate on plant level.
Vertical air circulation
Vertically mixing the air with the help of V-FloFans creates a constant airflow between the plants, which ensures an active microclimate. In addition, this fan mixes sun-heated air with colder layers of air at the bottom of the crop, thus evening out vertical differences in temperature and humidity. V-FloFans are often used in greenhouses where the 'Next Generation Growing' principle is used for growing.
The importance of good ventilation and circulation in greenhouses is often underestimated. Our Multifan vertical recirculation fans are also called greenhouse fans. The design of these fans has been specifically developed for the greenhouse sector.
The vertical airflow efficiently and effectively mixes hot air with cold and dry with moist air.
For harsh environments
These fans are exclusively composed of corrosion-resistant materials such as high-tech engineering plastics, fiberglass and treated metals making them very suitable for usage in harsh environments.
Thanks to their design and prepared suspension points, these fans are easy to install on-site.
- A: +/- 60 feet
- B: Minimal 6.5 feet
- C: Minimal 1.7 feet
- D: > 0 feet
- E: For optimal results we recommend a maximum installation height of 16 feet
- F: Minimal distance from crop canopy to fan bottom of 3.5 feet
- 1: Screens
- 2: Pillar
- 3: No obstacles within a range of 6.5 feet from the fan
- 4: Do not combine horizontal fans with the V-FloFan
- 5: Other air flows can influence the effect of the V-FloFan
Varifan Variable Speed Drive
The VSD-1C controller is a 0-10 V or 4 to 20 mA input signal to control the speed of variable speed fans. Both controllers can be connected directly to fans
The VSD-1MC controller is a 0-10 V or 4 to 20 mA input signal to control the speed of variable speed fans. This controller is designed with a toggle switch and a manual speed selector dial.
