The grinder is equipped with a wide-mouth Feed Hopper for manual feeding, and it will perform at its optimum if product is fed into the center of the grinder at a metered rate. Start with small amounts to determine the rate at which the grinder is grinding the materials completely and satisfactorily and then adjust accordingly.
The Sasquatch Grinder performs best when a vacuum system is connected to the outlet, thus effectively sucking product through the grinder and into the discharge. The Vacuum Modulator was designed to feed the grinder with organic material in "pulsed modules" of product by building up a maximum vacuum force when the gate is closed and then rapidly opening the gate and sucking the product through the grinder
Both HP options of the Sasquatch Grinder can be outfitted with 1 or both of these optional upgrades. The Speed Control allows you to adjust the speed at which the product is processed through the grinder. It is an RPM Rheostat to vary the Speed of the chop, instead of simply ON/OFF. The PLC, It's a Programable AB that will allow for Control of Speed, Time, Etc. It will provide a history of usage and can detail throughput, mainly for large-scale operations.
CIP, Clean-in-Place. This unit is designed to connect spray and drain ports for flushing and cleaning the unit in place. Usually, this upgrade is added for the largest operations.
