What Is In Axiom?
Axiom contains harpin proteins, a signaling molecule originally found in plant pathogens. This molecule will stimulate the plant’s own immune system, which creates a systemic chain reaction. The package contains the protein molecule and a starch-based buffer to protect the protein. Axiom is a completely safe, non-toxic and effective plant health promoter.
How Does Axiom Work?
Immediately after spraying, the signaling protein in Axiom triggers a response in the plant. This initial response is a hypersensitive response (HR), triggering the plant’s genetic code to create an immune response. This response leads to systemic acquired resistance (SAR) in the plant, which leads a stronger, healthier plant that is able to fight off disease and pests, while producing a higher quality, higher yielding product. Axiom works very well as a good management practice for prevention of disease issues and pest problems.
How Do I Use Axiom?
Axiom is extremely easy to use, and can be mixed with many other agricultural products. One 2-gram packet, mixed with one gallon of water, will cover 1000 sq. ft. of growing space. Apply as a light foliar spray, being careful not to saturate the plant. For best results, do not spray Axiom after lights turn off in your indoor garden. If applied as directed, the spray will dry within 30 minutes, and will not leave a residue on plant surfaces.
Due to the fast-acting nature of the proteins, over applying can cause a temporary shock reaction in the plant. This product is not intended for use as a soil drench, as its effect is mostly on the plant surface tissues. Axiom can be mixed with any other agricultural chemicals, including pesticides, fungicides, organic foliar sprays and many other products.
