Remix TUNE is an aqueous solution of potassium silicate and water. It is an alkaline liquid that may be used as a pH adjuster to RAISE pH in water.

How does Potassium Silicate affect pH?
When potassium silicate is added to water, it releases hydroxide ions (OH-) that react with hydrogen ions (H+) in the water to form water molecules (H2O). This reaction results in an increase in the pH of the water, making it more alkaline. The degree to which potassium silicate affects the pH of water depends on the concentration of the solution and the initial pH of the water.
Generally, potassium silicate is used in small concentrations, so the effect on the pH of the water is relatively minor. However, in some cases, such as in hydroponic growing systems, the pH of the water needs to be carefully monitored and adjusted to ensure optimal plant growth.
In these cases, potassium silicate may be used to raise the pH of the water and maintain it at the appropriate level for the plants being grown.
Directions
Mix well as solids may accumulate at the bottom of the container. Measure the pH of the water to be adjusted before addition. Add a small amount of product and mix thoroughly. Test pH multiple times. Repeat until the desired pH is met. Visit our website for more pH adjustment information.
Storage
Keep the product in a tightly closed container when not in use. Do not drop, roll, or skid the drum. Do not store in aluminum, fiberglass, copper, brass, zinc, or galvanized containers.
