HIGHER YIELDS, FEWER PROBLEMS
The right dehumidification setup can take your indoor grow operation to the next level. Say goodbye to crop losses from molds and other pests, and say hello to peak productivity with the Quest Dehumidifier.
Quest has the most energy-efficient dehumidifiers available, using the least electricity and removing more pints of water per kWh at the widest temperature range. Quest’s innovative design also creates the lightest heat load on your HVAC, paying for itself in energy savings.
Higher Crop Yields, Less Problems
One of the biggest challenges for the indoor farming industry is creating and maintaining a stable, consistent environment for plants to flourish. Without a reliable climate, you could lose your entire crop. Once you lose control of your environment, serious crop-crushing issues begin to take hold. The two main “crop-crushers” are concerns many growers face at one time or another: powdery mildew and botrytis, more commonly known as bud rot. Either of these issues can destroy a grow and lead to lost revenue.
Proper Dehumidification Can Make All The Difference
Whether it’s a greenhouse or a hydroponic grow the same principles come into play when you’re fine-tuning a setup. For moisture control and dehumidification, the three most important aspects are proper sizing, placement, and airflow. Quest engineers developed our product offerings to allow for flexible and customizable options to address all three.

QUEST'S PATENTED TECHNOLOGY | M-CoRR™
Providing the most energy-efficeint dehumidification
The secret behind Quest’s unparalleled energy-efficiency is our patented multi-coil design, or as we like to call it: M-CoRR (short for Multi-Coil Refrigeration Recovery). You won’t find this technology anywhere else.
M-CoRR is engineered for maximum performance, allowing Quest to be the most energy-efficient and the best return on your investment, paying for itself in energy savings over time. M-CoRR’s innovative design performs better over a wider range of dew points, even at colder temperatures, and maintains capacity regardless of airflow fluctuations.
How Does Quest's M-CoRR Technology Work?
Traditional refrigerant dehumidifiers have a single refrigerant-filled evaporator coil that cools the air passing through it to extract the water from the air (because cold air holds less water). Once the air is cooled below the dew point, water condenses. Energy captured in the refrigerant during water removal is returned to the air in the form of heat at the second coil, the condenser.
The magic of Quest’s M-CoRR Technology is its multiple coils. Quest designed the typical evaporator coil into three separate refrigerant-filled coils: the pre-evaporator, evaporator, and recovery coil.
The first coil, the pre-evaporator, cools the air. The second coil, the evaporator, cools it even further to pull out the water. The third coil recovers the energy from pre-cooling the air to be recycled back into the evaporator for reuse.
What Are The Benefits Of Using M-CoRR?
Highest Efficiency. Lowest Energy Usage
Higher efficiency = lower electricity usage per pint of water removed. M-CoRR technology pulls more water out of the air per kilowatt hour than any other dehumidification technology. Period.
Less Heat Output
Inefficiency = Heat. It takes energy to run the fan and compressor in your dehumidifier. During dehumidification, this energy converts to heat that warms your room. The more energy your dehumidifier consumes, the more heat it expels. Quest dehumidifiers featuring M-CoRR technology are the most efficient dehumidifiers in the world, which means they put less heat in your environment.
More Capacity, Smaller Footprint
Your space is valuable. Dehumidifiers powered by M-CoRR are more compact. This technology averages over 20% smaller than traditional LGR dehumidification technology of the same capacity.
Wide Operating Rage. Tighter Control
Thanks to its multiple coils, M-CoRR technology equips Quest to maintain performance better than traditional dehumidification equipment, even in cooler temperatures and dew points, with less frequent and faster defrost cycles. Less time spent in defrost neutralizes spikes in temperature and relative humidity, keeping the environment consistent and, in indoor cultivations, VPD dialed in.
Which Quest Dehumidifiers feature M-CoRR?
The Quest Dehumidifiers are broken apart by the High-Efficiency Series and the Standard Overhead Series. All Quest Dehumidifiser in the High-Efficiency Series feature the M-CoRR Technology. The Overhead Series are Quest's standar units that do not feature M-CoRR. Please note: Models in the high-efficiency series can still be installed overhead if that models allows.

Quest Dehumidifiers Questions & Answers
How do I size a dehumidifier for a grow room?
Plants transpire about 97% of the water they receive, so the amount of water your plants consume is approximately the amount that needs to be removed each day. For example, 30 plants each receiving ½ gallon per day is an average of 15 gallons water per day. Every gallon of water is 8 pints. This example works out to 120 pints per day.
Isn’t my air conditioner a dehumidifier?
Yes, but there are issues with this solution.
1. Air conditioners remove water only when they are running. In most cases when the grow lights are off, the air conditioner is off as well. Lights-off time is when humidity is most problematic.
2. Using an air conditioner to dry a room will overcool the room, potentially causing plant stress. This will also use a significantly greater amount of energy than a Quest commercial dehumidifier.
3. The more energy efficient the air conditioner, the less moisture it actually removes. An efficient air conditioner is a terrible dehumidifier.
4. The re-heat method. Some air conditioners offer an optional heating coil as a dehumidification option. Essentially, by adding artificial heat to the room, the air conditioner is forced to operate when the lights are off and thus the air conditioner removes water. While this method works, and can be used in a pinch, it’s a poor long term solution and will use 4-8x the energy as a Quest dehumidifier. 4-8x the energy use is roughly equal to $5,000-$25,000 per year in unnecessary energy consumption.
What if I live in Arizona, New Mexico or a dry state, do I need a dehumidifier?
While it may be dry outdoors, growing in a sealed environment changes things a good bit. Growers using sealed rooms, even in the driest of outdoor climates, almost always require dehumidifiers. The higher quality of the grow room design and construction, the more critical a dehumidifier will be.
What is the ideal humidity?
Because every plant is different, it is hard to pick just one number. However, most research indicates that 45-55% RH is the safe zone where plants are healthy, spore germination is unlikely, and pests find the environment unappealing.
How much money does a Quest dehumidifier save me in electricity?
Quest is the leader in energy efficiency and one of our models is the most energy efficient dehumidifier ever built. Depending on the model, Quest dehumidifiers can save commercial growers $100-$200 a month in electricity per unit. That’s $1,200-$2,500 per dehumidifier per year.
Can the water be reused?
Yes, Quest dehumidifiers produce neutral pH, very low TDS water. This water is safe for all plants, even consumable ones.
Quest Dehumidifiers Reviews
- Saved my grow
never had to get a dehu until I almost lost my entire crop due to excess humidity and moisture. This will be part of my grows until I stop growing
Review by Lance on 9/13/2022- Saved my grow!
I dealt with excess humidity in my grow room for years before biting the bullet. No mold or humidity-related issues since. You wont be disappointed, this is the best dehumidifier brand for grow rooms on the market imo.
Review by Brent on 6/27/2022- The best dehu hands down
This has made this biggest difference for our facility. No issues with mold and pests like we had before we got a Quest 225. This is one of the most important parts of a grow, dont cheap out on this
