A Specialty Nutrient Additive Created With Cultivators In Mind, Enhancing Deep Purples, Rich Hues, Increased Potency, & Sweeter Flavors
What Is Purpinator?
Purpinator is a specialty nutrient additive formulated to deliver increased flavonoid, terpenoid, and resin production in your plants. In addition to these benefits, Purpinator will improve the coloration of plants with purple phenotypes. Much like its predecessor, Terpinator, Purpinator activates the metabolic pathways terpene production in plants by providing the building blocks for these processes. Purpinator will also regulate the pH of the cell sap in plant vacuoles, resulting in a more neutral pH in cell sap which yields increased purple coloration expressed in the plant.
What Are Flavonoids?
Flavonoids are a diverse group of phytonutrients found in almost all fruits and vegetables; these are the group of plant metabolites that is widely credited with being the reason fruits and vegetable are so good for you; flavonoids are attributed with a reduced risk of cancer, heart disease, asthma, and stroke. Some of the groups of flavonoids found in plants are anthocyanidins, flavanols, flavones, flavonols, flavonones and isoflavones. Each of these flavonoids has its own distinct set of actions, benefits and originating foods.
Why Use Purpinator?
Purpinator was designed to specifically improve the color production of cultivars with purple phenotypes, terpene, and resin production while also addressing the additional nutrient requirements for those processes in the plant. Traditional methods for improving purple coloration can involve cold temperature treatments, which can be costly or inconvenient, especially in greenhouse environments; Purpinator eliminates the need for these treatments by enhancing the plant’s ability to produce color influencing compounds. Purpinator contains no plant growth regulators, no heavy metals, and can be easily incorporated into any pre-existing nutrient regimen, making it a truly versatile product that any grower can bring on with ease.
How Purpinator Works
Purpinator provides the correct amount of magnesium for chlorophyll development. As magnesium is the central atom of the chlorophyll molecule, the proportion of magnesium available to plants is dependent on the supply of magnesium. In the plant leaves the plant’s mature epidermal cells contain about 15% chloroplasts, cytoplasm/cell wall 5%, and the vacuole 85%. By regulating the epidermal cell’s vacuoles pH and magnesium content, anthocyanin production can be increased providing more color to the plant’s phenotype.
Light stimulates the formation of flavonoids in many plants. The most effective wavelengths are blue and red. Purpinator will provide the building blocks for flavonoid production and combined with blue light in the range of 400-500 nm, will produce more flavonoid compounds. This range is referred to as the action spectra for pigment production.

What Purpinator Does
Increased Potency
The ‘entourage effect’ and the general effect of terpenes on human behavior has long been studied. With increased capacity and numbers, pollen sites will produce more secondary metabolites and terpenes for a more potent finished product. These valuable compounds are stored within the walls of the gland sites and make for a more potent finished product.
Improved Color
Purpinator facilitates the production of anthocyanin compounds and other flavonoids, which improve the expression of phenotypic characteristics such as purple coloration in capable cultivars. This improves the final bag appeal of finished product and sets your plants out from the rest.
Enhance Aromatics & Flavors
Terpenes and other secondary metabolites are directly responsible for the aromatic and flavor profiles of your plants. Purpinator enhances your plants natural terpene profile for improved concentration of terpenes and terpenoids, resulting in improved aroma and flavor in finished product.
How to Use:
Purpinator can be deployed in any growing system and is designed to be used as a root drench for your soil, coco, or hydroponic growing media. Purpinator is not intended for use as a foliar spray. Combine with blue-light treatments in the 400-500nm spectrum to improve anthocyanin production.
Purpinator won’t burn plants when used as directed, and can be used with any growing media, hydroponic system, and nutrient program. PURPINATOR is at the correct pH for hydroponic use.

Rhizoflora Purpinator Questions & Answers
+ What is Purpinator?
Purpinator is a liquid nutrient additive for flowering/fruiting plants. Purpinator has a 0-2-4 NPK Ratio.
+ What does Purpinator do for my plants?
Purpinator provides the building blocks for improved production of flavonoids such as anthocyanins, which influence pigmentation of plants. When combined with blue light in the 400-500nm range, Purpinator will drastically increase the production of pigment inducing compounds while maintaining a neutral pH in cell sap to promote purple pigmentation. While many plants can have an increased production of purple coloration when temperatures drop below a certain point, this can create issues in enclosed growing environments. Purpinator allows users to get the benefits of purple pigment production without having to alter their environment. In addition to coloration, Purpinator will provide the building blocks for terpene production and trichome production in plants, improving your plant’s ability to produce secondary compounds unique to your genetic cultivar.
+ What are Flavonoids?
Flavonoids are a group of water soluble metabolites found in plants. Some of these influence pigmentation, such as cyanidin. Cyanidin has a varying color expression based on the pH of its container vacuole, expressing red in low pH conditions, purple in neutral pH conditions, and blue in high pH conditions.
+ What does increased anthocyanin production from Purpinator mean for my plants?
Improved production of anthocyanins in plants fed with Purpinator will result in an increase in intensity of purple coloration in plant material when combined with light in the 400-500nm range.
+ How do I make my plants purple?
Not all plants are capable of producing a significant amount of anthocyanins or cyanidin to display purple coloration. Purpinator is a simple, effective means of promoting and improving purple pigmentation in plants with the genetic capability to produce anthocyanin and cyanidin compounds when combined with light in the 400-500nm range.
+ Why Purpinator over other products?
Purpinator is a unique product that provides multiple benefits, especially for those dealing with plants that express purple pigmentation. While it’s primary function is to promote the expression and production of purple pigmentation and anthocyanin compounds, it also provides the building blocks for the production of terpene and trichome production unique to the genetic cultivar that is being grown. Purpinator contains no PGR’s and no heavy metals, making it a safe additive for those who are producing at scale.
