We were lucky enough to get to unbox, set up, use, and review the PurePressure Helix 3 Ton Rosin Press.

This is one of the best manual presses currently on the market, and we were very impressed with the ease of use of this one.

It was super easy to set up, and we were pressing out rosin within 10 minutes of unboxing it.

As a first-time rosin presser, I had no problem setting up and using this press on my own. The best thing about this press, in our opinion, was the ease of use.

All we had to do was plug it in, and we were ready to start pressing. No pumps needed, like with other commercial presses.

But, there are lots of things about this press that we thought should be mentioned, so let’s get into it now.

Great for home use & commercial use

The PurePressure Helix 3 ton press is great for home use because it doesn’t need a compressor, and is completely plug and play.

But, it is also a great candidate for any commercial extraction operation.

The two 4.5” x 2.5” dual heat plates, coupled with the 3 tons of pressing force, is enough to get big yields efficiently.

These plates evenly distribute the 300 degrees Fahrenheit they are capable of producing, and can be adjusted in increments of 1 degree.

The twist operation might make some commercial operations turn away, but it’s actually super easy to use and doesn’t require much “manual” effort.

Plus, you can adjust the pressure in 10lb increments, an unprecedented ability on manual presses.

With this beast, you can press up to 6 grams of flower or 10 grams of dry sift per cycle.

Custom recipes

Another great feature of the PurePressure Helix 3-ton press is the ability to save up to 29 pre-set recipes.

You can specify your ideal settings such as temperature, product type, and pressure, and time, and create recipes that you can repeat time and time again, quickly and easily.

This is all possible through the intuitive Pressware technology, which features a color LCD touch screen that delivers an exceptional user experience.

Add-ons make the pressing experience even easier

PurePressure also has an extensive collection of rosin pressing accessories to make the process even easier and more enjoyable.

The Pre Press Mold helped prevent blowouts, especially when using dry sift. It also helped us maximize what we could fit in the rosin bags.

The Quick Flip was another tool that we cannot live without now that we’ve used it. It changed rosin preparation forever for us. It helps you turn your rosin bags inside out so the seam faces inside, further preventing blowouts.

Instead of fiddling around with the bags in our hands trying to flip them inside out and un-ruffle the corners, we could turn them inside out in seconds!

When we started pressing dry sift, the plastic fill funnel was imperative to our success.

In the past, we’ve had some expensive slip ups when trying to move larger quantities of dry sift into the rosin bags. The fill funnel made it easy and hassle-free.

PurePressure also has a bunch of other useful tools like the rosin scraping tool, the silicone extraction mat, and the cold gold rosin flux plate.

While this may be too expensive for some hobby extractors, it is a great option for those who only want the best.
