Hydro Innovations Heat Shield for 6" Ducting - 10' Long Questions & Answers

What are Heat Shields made of?

The high quality covers are made from recycled cotton insulation and proprietary radiant barrier fabric. 95% light reflective, washable, inexpensive, and very easy to install.

What is the result of using the full line of Heat Shield products?

The use of Heat Shield products in combination can reduce the load on your air conditioner by an average of 7 1/2%, reducing your energy bills and your carbon footprint!

Why hasn`t someone already thought of this?

They have! Radiant barrier is now used on roofs and in walls during home construction to reflect the warmth from solar radiation. Hydro Innovations has figured out how to apply that same IR blocking radiant barrier heat deflection to your grow room.

How can I test the Heat Shield?

Check the temperature of your reflector housing after 8 hrs or so (you can do this by taping an outdoor temperature sensor to the housing or by using an IR thermometer). If you subtract this temp from your desired room temp, you will notice a significant difference.
