The MicroCool FOCUS humidification network is the preferred choice for managing humidity across multiple rooms requiring varying conditions. The FOCUS Cell humidifiers are an energy efficient solution to help control VPD and keep each room producing to its maximum potential. The specialized FOCUS humidity control equipment operates differently from conventional systems. Each nozzle has a solenoid built into the housing that controls the operation of the nozzle. This factor alone eliminates the risk of dripping and draining nozzles in the location. The FOCUS X CELL and FOCUS POD nozzles are connected to a high-pressure manifold line running from, and back to, the pump unit. The specialty FOCUS pumps maintain a fixed pressure of 1000 psi/70 Bar in the manifold line so that when the nozzle solenoids open at the nozzles, that pressure is immediately present.

24V AC RELAY FOR CELL HUMIDIFIERS
The 24V AC relay for CELLS works off a dry contact coming from the facility’s control system. When the set point calls for the CELLS to operate, the FOCUS Interface Panel will provide the 24V AC from the quick disconnect fitting on the (bottom) of the Interface Panel.
CYCLE TIMER FOR CELLS
The internal adjustable Cycle Timer controls the 24VAC, ON/OFF times. Incremental adjustments to ON/OFF times can be made internally to fine tune humidification delivery for the space, application, and conditions.
DRY CONTACT OUTPUT
A dry contact output is provided for the facility’s control system. The dry contact triggers the Focus Interface Panel this control system to the FOCUS Interface Panel. When the facility’s humidity/temperature set point calls for the CELLS to operate, the Interface’s relay will provide the 24VAC signal and adjustable cycle times for the CELLS.
HIGH-PRESSURE SWITCH
The high-pressure switch is factory set to maintain 580psi. When the switch detects pressure below the minimum 580psi needed to provide fog, the blue low-pressure monitor light illuminates, and the Interface will not provide the 24VAC to the cells an internal safety measure.
MicroCool’s FOCUS pump range acts as a power plant for the humidification system. The pump is a direct coupled industrial duty triple-X ceramic plunger style pump. These humidity pumps are powered by a 1,2,3 or 5 horsepower, completely enclosed, fan cooled motor. The UL-listed industrial control panel is a vital component of this system and is controlled by a Siemens PLC. With proprietary software logic, an industrial duty WEG variable frequency drive and six pole motor combination, precision is of the essence.
The FOCUS pump is equipped with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) making it extremely quiet for its capacity, and incredibly economical in its electrical energy consumption.
MicroCool’s FOCUS network is a closed loop system featuring a high-pressure flexible line that is continuously charged. The FOCUS pump keeps the hydraulic circuit constantly pressurized at 1000 - 1,200 psi. This constant pressure allows for instant start/stop fog humidification regardless of the distance between the pump and atomizing nozzles.
MicroCool FOCUS pump modules require a customer provided reverse osmosis treated water supply. The system is designed to maintain a hygienic water supply to the nozzles free of dissolved mineral solids, bacteria, and chemical contaminants always. All FOCUS pumps come equipped with a UV light filter and a programmed hygienic flush feature that exchanges the water in the hydraulic system daily. Incoming water is returned through a carbon filter, sediment filter and UV light for sterilization which ensures superior water quality and bacteria-free fog.
The FOG FOCUS CELL nozzle offers pinpoint distribution of ultra-fine, drip-less, fog humidification. The nozzle is mounted directly onto a small solenoid valve which eliminates any droplets from forming when the nozzle is turned ON and OFF. When opened, because this is a constant pressure system, fog is produced immediately. This ability for this nozzle to be controlled, and turned ON and OFF immediately, gives the user a high level of flexibility when managing their environment efficiently.
Three different nozzle orifices are available delivering, 4.0 lbs, 6.5 lbs and, 10 lbs/ of high-pressure fog. Each CELL can be configured with: one, two, three or four nozzles per unit, providing unrivaled flexibility. CELL humidifiers include a mounting bracket for 360° adjustments. A hydraulic quick connect fitting and electrical screw connection at the device support single-nozzle removal for easy service while maintaining system uptime some low voltage (24VAC) wiring required.

The MicroCool FOCUS Interface Panel (FIP) is a UL Listed 508A industrial control panel that easily networks the local humidifiers and provides asymmetric cycle timing along with 24VAC power for the CELL humidifiers. The Interface Panel is an important component of the MicroCool FOCUS system for facilities that utilize their own control system and humidity/temperature sensor. The facility’s control system relays a dry contact (0.0 Volt) signal to the FOCUS Interface Panel when the room calls for humidity. The FOCUS Interface Panel then provides the necessary 24VAC power to the CELL humidifiers assigned to it. The FIP’s internal asymmetric timer relay provides adjustable ON/OFF fog burst timing, which offers a high level of adjustability and fine tuning necessary when managing humidity in a controlled environment.
