Q: What brands of 1000 watt bulbs can be used with this ballast?
A: We have tested multiple brands of 1000w HPS and 1000w MH lamp and have not found any that aren't compatible. It's a very universal product, you should be fine with any 1000w HID lamp.
Q: Can I run this ballast at 110/v?
A: Yes, absolutely
Q: Can I dim a 1000 watt hps or mh to 750 or 500 watt?
A: Yes, that is exactly the purpose of the dimmer switch. This ballast will only fire a 1000w lamp but can be dimmed to any of the levels shown on the ballast itself.
Q: Will this operate properly on a 220 Volt 50HZ electrical grid power supply?
A: No, this is designed for use with 120 or 240 volt @ 60 Hz.
