Gavita Pro 6/750 Watt E-Series
Gavita Pro line HPS fixtures are the professional standard for efficient climate room lighting.
In many rooms you just don't have the height to run a 1000 Watt fixture at 100% and in other rooms you don't need the intensity. Running a 1000 Watt lamp at 750 Watts all the time is not a desirable situation as the lamp does not come to its full efficiency and the spectrum deteriorates. In those situations the 6/750 DE Flex is the ideal solution. More efficient, cheaper, and with a much better spectrum, this light will prove its worth in no time at all.
It is called the 6/750 as the efficiency of the lamp, dimmed to 600 Watts, is still as good as any other 600 Watt industry standard HPS lamps. With the 750 Watt lamp, you can come almost a foot closer to your crop (a bit less in overlapping plans).
As a primary light source, the Gavita Pro 6/750 DE Flex E-Series fixture covers up to a 4' x 6' area.
The ‘e’ in ‘e-series’ stands for external control and the new Gavita Pro line e-series are improved models and are suitable for central control with the Gavita Master lighting controller. Now you can have complete lighting control at your fingertips.
These fixtures can be controlled centrally by a Gavita Master controller. This replaces the often cumbersome installation with contactors and clocks, and adds safety features such as automatic dimming of your lights at high temperatures and even a safety shutdown. Gavita improved the electronics and changed the way the ballast is built, by mounting the PCB and warm components directly on the heat sinks instead of in a ballast bracket. The much cooler electronics result in a greater reliability and a longer life and the new design of the housing even increases that effect.
Gavita describes these fixtures based on their voltage options as either Residential, Professional or Industrial
Residential fixtures
Gavitas residential voltage fixtures offer flexible installation (120-240V). Choose an e-series control interface, a manual switch — or both
Professional Fixtures
Designed especially for grow rooms, our professional fixtures suit flexible and fixed installations. They are compact and come with a Repeater Bus interface (no manual control). For 208V three-phase or 240V.
Industrial Fixtures
Perfect for the rigors of industrial environments, these fixtures feature a Repeater Bus control interface (no manual control) or fixed output. For 277-347V three-phase.
Details
Ballast output is either controlled by the Gavita Master controllers, or an external switch, allowing it to be adjusted to 400, 500, 600, 750 W, and 825 W boosted output.
The Master Controller can centrally control the output of hundreds of fixtures in a range between 375 and 825 W output power. Using the Master controller safeguards your valuable crop by the added auto-dim and auto-shutdown features, and completely automates your light control.
The high frequency ballast was specifically designed for the Gavita double ended HPS lamp, resulting in an accurate, optimal output, a stable burning lamp and a better light maintenance over time. The ballast is not suitable to run Metal Halide lamps.
Developed for fixed installation (usually with brackets on c-profiles), we changed the way these fixtures are connected to the Master controller. Where for the normal e-series you need two cables and a splitter to connect the next fixture, these fixture are equipped with what we call the “Gavita repeater bus”.
The Gavita repeater bus solution allows you to daisy chain your controller cables from one fixture directly to the other.
Each fixture has an input and an output, buffering the signal for the next fixture. This allows us to put 100 fixtures in one daisy chain. On each controller port you can connect 5 chains with 100 fixtures. Even if the ballast should fail completely, the repeater in the ballast stays operational, safeguarding the daisy chain.
Reflectors
The compact complete fixture contains a lamp, HR96 reflector and horticultual quality ballast in one comprehensive package. The higher output and added efficiency of the industry standard HR96 reflector make this the workhorse of the family.
The reflector is replaceable (Gavita recommends to do this every 1-2 years) and there is a choice of replacement reflectors
- The HR96 DE Reflector for overlapping configurations, assuring optimal uniformity and penetration. This is the industry standard reflector delivered with the fixture.
The HR96 reflector is made of a very high grade Miro aluminum with 95% efficiency, which provides optimal reflectance of light to your crop. The shape of this reflector may look as a deep reflector, but it actually gives you a medium wide beam angle of about 135 degrees. Reflector dimensions: 20.1" (length) x 9.6" (width) x 7.6" (height)
- The W 150 DE Reflector for wide configurations, where uniformity and lower light levels are required in large rooms. 150 degrees beam angle, for double ended lamps.
This reflector is for Gavita Pro line and Hortistar and is easy to install. Designed for uniformity. Made from MIRO® aluminum. Reflector dimensions: 11.8" (length) x 10" (width) x 4" (height)
- The M 110 DE SR Reflector for applications in single rows and small rooms, where a single reflector needs to create uniformity and high light levels. 110 degrees beam angle, for double ended lamps.
The medium spread of this reflector with 110° beam angle is great for tents and small rooms. This is Gavita's most suitable reflector for single light set ups. The 110° is designed for uniformity and deep crop penetration in 1-2 fixture configurations. Reflector dimensions: 10.7" (length) x 9.5" (width) x 4.5" (height)
The spread of the Pro 750 equipped with the HR96 DE reflector is about 4×6 ft (110x180cm) at 3.5 ft. distance in overlapping plans, providing light levels of up to 750 µmol s-1 m-2. The reflector is replaceable (we recommend to do this every year to two years).
The fixture’s light source is a Gavita Pro Plus 750W double ended HPS lamp, generating 1450 µmol s-1 of light. With a light maintenance of over 96% per 5000 hours you only need to replace it once a year.
Note: Miniumum recommended hanging distance is 1 meter
Included Lamp
The fixtures light source is a Gavita Pro Plus 750W DE HPS Lamp.
This beast generates 1,950 µmol/s of light and with a light maintenance of over 96% per 5000 hours you only need to replace it once a year.
Gavita Pro Plus 1000W EL Double-Ended 400 V lamp is one of the best 1000 watt HPS lamps on the market. Specifically designed for high frequency electronic ballasts, it has a connection at each side of the lamp, removing the need for a frame wire inside the lamp. For use with Gavita fixtures only.
The jacket of this double-ended lamp is made from quartz glass. Do not handle with bare hands. Oil from your hands can damage the lamp.
Warranty applies only if these lamps are operated with a Gavita Pro series ballast.
Features & Benefits
Plug & Play installation
Connect your fixtures to the master controller with the standard controller cables provided with the controller and the fixture. It’s all plug and play: you do not need a screwdriver. Gavita provides original accessories if you require replacements or different length controller cables.
Repeater Bus configuration
Gavita developed the Repeater Bus interface for fixed installations in professional environments. The Gavita difference is the double-port connector on the ballast. The active interface repeats the input signal to the output. This setup lets you directly daisy chain 100 fixtures per string and five strings per controller port to connect a maximum of 500 fixtures per controller port.
Replaceable reflector
Our bracket is designed to be able to change you reflector quickly. Miro aluminum can not easily be cleaned, and when you clean it, it will never be as good as a new reflector. We recommend to change reflectors every year in a “dirty” environment (dust, foggers, sprays) or every two years in a clean environment.
No moving parts, optimal thermal management
Our ballasts are completely sealed and passively cooled through the extrusion aluminum ballast housing. Our housings provide optimized thermal management, which keeps the electronics much cooler than in die-cast housings. Good thermal management is extremely important for the lifetime and reliability of the electronics.
Complete fixture
The integration of ballast and reflector results in a compact fixture. No external lamp wires results in low EMI, which makes it easier to comply with FCC regulations. All our fixtures are FCC compliant.
Balanced fixture
The fixture is balanced, so it can be mounted by just two hanging points. This enables much easier installation by brackets from C-profiles for example.
Soft start
Unlike magnetic ballasts our electronic ballasts never use more power than their specified power during the start-up sequence. Lamps reach their full power much quicker than with a magnetic ballast.
No in-rush current
The e-series fixtures are constantly connected to your mains supply, just like a television that is on stand-by. Because of that it never creates a high inrush power when switching on. You can fire-up all your lamps safely.
Double ended lamp
Our Double ended HPS lamps are the most efficient HPS lamps available. Double ended lamps have the advantage that they are always in the focal point of the reflector, there is no frame wire in the lamp which results in less light interception, and the lamp is very small in diameter which prevents reflected light to be intercepted by the lamp in the reflector.
High frequency electronic ballast
There is no such thing as a universal ballast. You will get the optimal output when you match a lamp and ballast which are designed for each other. Our ballasts are designed to power our horticultural double ended lamps at exactly the right high frequency and power for optimal and stable output, and a long light maintenance. Our ballasts are only suitable for high frequency HPS lamps as specified in the product manual.
Gavita Master Controller
Grow light controllers automate large indoor gardens and commercial greenhouses, by setting the grow lights on specific time intervals. A common complaint of growers is spending too much time in the garden, and grow room light controllers and timers alleviate this issue.
These Gavita fixtures are designed for external control and the new Gavita Pro line e-series are improved models and are suitable for central control with the Gavita Master lighting controller.
Now you can have complete lighting control at your fingertips.
