How do I get rid of fungus in my garden?

Prevention is always the best medicine, so make sure you have the correct environmental conditions in place. This means making your growing space one where pests and fungi cannot exist easily. A major cause of mold and mildew in the grow room is excess moisture and heat.

First, check your environment with a hygrometer. If your environment is less than ideal, use a dehumidifier to combat humidity, and if it is too hot, use an air conditioner.

If you do notice you have powdery mildew, mold, or other fungal growth on your plants, take immediate steps to rectify this. First, identify the disease. Then, you can shop by fungus type and combat the disease accordingly!

Will fungicide kill plants?

Fungicides are only strong enough to kill small microbial life, and are generally safe for plants. If you dose incorrectly, you could see damage to foliage, so be careful when spraying.

If you are concerned about what goes into your garden, use an organic fungicide, or better yet, an OMRI listed fungicide. These fungicides undergo strict testing to be considered OMRI listed, and they are as safe as it gets.
